Torn Pec confirmed, however Cam Heyward played a whole season with exact same injury 2 years ago with the arm harness....thoughts?

I think it’ll depend on the grade of the tear. I’m by no means a doctor, but from what I read online there’s a huge difference in recovery between a low-grade and high-grade tear.

No way to know if it is the exact same injury. And playing on the outside is different than in the middle as Heyward does. Doubt if he can play for several weeks. And could be done for season if it is a major tear.

That’s a good point. The only way I could see him being able to play through it, *if* it’s mild enough, is if they switched him to the right side and allowed him to use his left arm for rush moves. Could be looking at Najee Harris missing significant time as well with his foot injury. Just brutal.

Did Heyward come back after limping off? And didn’t the center also get hurt? Neither were on the post game injury report so may be minor but could still be a factor.

I think I saw Heyward come back in, but I could be wrong. Not sure about Cole, though. At this point, I’d rather have a banged up Cole than Kendrick Green.

The only thing that gives me some optimism is that Highsmith looked good and the front seven has more depth than last season. Still, obviously you can’t just replace a guy like Watt.

I think it's time to make some moves player wise on Monday either the wire or a deal...
They have a ton a cap room for a team entering the season, especially after they restructured Watt’s contract last week. Let’s see how aggressive Khan really is.

If this is true, I think we’re looking at 3-4 games without Watt. Luckily, the next three are the Patriots without Mac Jones, the Browns, and the Jets. Nothing’s guaranteed with this team, but it’s not a gauntlet, either.

Yeah a good sign is if they actually don't say anything about a timeline...this will indicate a return hopefully by mid season at the longest and game 6 or 7 at the earliest...meantime got to hold serve and win the winnable ones and hopefully get to 4-2 or in that neighborhood by then.

If I am Watt, I don't try to play hurt, too much chance to re-injure it and not like PIttsburgh is winning a Super Bowl with Mitch Trubisky at QB. SO take the year off to heal and come back next year at 100%.

The harness provides some stability, like a taped ankle, but that’s gonna hurt like a bitch and reduce his strength significantly. He probably wouldn’t be very effective.
