Go Blue ! Release the Wolverine it Michigan Football.

Should be a great game. UM 24 - PSU 21. Onward to the playoffs !

FWIW (Not Much):

PSU's record against ranked teams at home - last 10 years:

Noon Kick-Offs:
1 Win 2 Losses

Afternoon:
2 Wins 2 Losses

Night:
3 Wins 5 Losses

I don't really care - though I like the late afternoon starts if attending the game (best scenario for getting into and out of the stadium area) - but PSU certainly has shown to have particular advantage when playing at night.
Also in the last 10 years, I would (conservatively say) that five of those squads were greatly impacted by the sanctions.

IOWA IOWA IOWA

I hate when people post that regarding talk other than the current game.
however,

IOWA IOWA IOWA

I wasn't aware.... but perhaps your wisdom could enlighten.... as to how "Sanctions" differentially impact a team's performance based on the time of day that the game is kicked-off (the topic at hand) - rather than effecting performance equally regardless of the time of day.

Maybe you can "wisdom" on that.

Sweet Jeebzus.
Shit like this just SHOULDN'T surprise me anymore.

Or - maybe  - you could just recognize that it all, given the limited data points, just don't mean much anyhow.

(You are in "Higher Education".... right? LMAO)

th

You are such a blowhard moron who thinks they are smarter than they are (which is very annoying to those of us who are actually smart).

Ahem.

If A is the set of all games played during the past ten years;
and B is the subset of games played while affected by sanctions;
and C is the subset of game played at night, then:

And if you agree that the likelihood of winning games (irrespective of whether they are at night or not, although often times more marquee (read: tougher) match ups) are at night) while affected by sanctions is lower, then the value of B is lower than it would be otherwise. Therefore, the number of night wins will be lower simply because the total number of wins will be lower.

This is not rocket science.

Maybe you just shoulda' said:

Sweet Jeebzus.
Your reading comprehension is crap then.

Our record in day times vs night games was posted over the past 10 years.

I hypothesized that these records are skewed over that time period based on unfair NCAA sanctions.

You pooped your pants trying to look smart.

I corrected you.

End scene.

I don't believe the PSU fanbase is looking ahead to Michigan, they're just relieved it's not a noon kick off.

The fans are relieved almost as much as the security checking the tickets at the gate!

The Assistant to the Assistant AD assisting the ASSociate AD in charge of Admission has G U A R A N T E E D that if you are in line at the gate as if the game is a noon kickoff, you have an 80+% chance of A C T U A L L Y getting to your seat by kickoff!
