This is a tough one. Meryl Street is a marvelous actress, and does a good job in The Post, but this isn't one of her stand-out performances. Sally Hawkins does a great job in The Shape of Water. Margot Robbie gave an unbelievable performance as Tonya Harding, in one of the more entertaining movies of the year. Saoirse Ronan gave a performance that would likely win an Oscar in many years. After viewing all these films, I find that it was France McDormand's performance that I kept replaying in my mind.
