OSU/Michigan currently have the 2025 #1 and #2 overall recruits in the country. Both are QBs. Our QB is currently ranked #610 overall in the country.

I wish I won 10M. Lost both big bets late last week...happens with big spreads sometimes. It's what makes it fun.

It's ok. I recently found out my old company f*d me out of ~5-7 million in commission checks coming out of covid. It's what makes working in sales fun...

Read an article earlier today that UM is going after Finney who is currently at Oregon. We are working to flip the kid, but UM is said to be showing him the money...........

Found it.

Fueled by $200M NIL Power, Sherrone Moore & Michigan Seek Conference Rival’s Top Commit

Sherrone Moore’s Michigan (5-5) are willing to splurge through NIL, in order to get back to their previous highs. The latest wrinkle in their efforts involves 4-star cornerback prospect Brandon Finney. The Maryland native is currently committed to the Oregon Ducks. That said, his landing spot seems to be trending closer to home, towards Penn State. Michigan are attempting to throw a spanner in the works of both their Big 10 rivals. Finney is apparently lined up to visit the Big House this Saturday.

Wolverines’ fan and recruitment insider EJ Holland discussed Brandon Finney’s alleged visit and where his team stands in this ordeal. He believes Michigan holds a potential trump card. During a Q&A on “The Wolverine” YouTube channel, Holland said,
“I would say the biggest thing [in Michigan’s favour] is NIL. I know that’s crazy to say when it comes to Michigan, but we’ve seen them step up with NIL recently. I think they put together good packages for guys like Andrew Olesh and Shamari Earls. [So] I think they can put one together for Finney. Penn State doesn’t really do a ton of NIL, so I think that maybe that’s a spot where Michigan can beat out Penn State and potentially give him more reason to listen”.

So how long before the cost of top college rosters start eclipsing NFL teams? Cowboys have the cheapest 53 man roster @ $129million. 2.4 mil per head on average.

Pretty impressive flip for Michigan. I wonder if this is the highest a recruit ever been paid out for. Can't blame him at all for flipping. You're only young once. It makes PSU look like a tier below, thats for sure. Doesn't appear we recruit in the 5 star neighborhood so im curious how Allar got here.

This is me too. I refuse to pony up for NIL as I think it is horrible and completely counter to college athletics and the entire reason I watch college sports. If it means PSU falls behind on recruiting and competitiveness, so be it.
It will settle eventually. No matter how rich someone is, eventually they will get sick of shelling out big $ for alleged 5 stars who:

Actually suck
Get hurt
Transfer
Fail out of school
Get in trouble
Etc.

With nothing much to show for the $ than a playoff appearance, and maybe 1-2 wins.

Allar will be out of NFL in 4 years if he doesn't come back
Then he'd be out of the NFL in 4 years if he does come back--coming back or not will have zero impact on his career
He's not going to improve here--losing Warren with our receivers it's time to go
Then the idiots can be happy we have a lesser QB next year simply because he's a dual threat.

The big donor for UM's NIL collective is billionaire Larry Ellison of Oracle, who has no connection to UM. Why he is donating so much, even though its nothing to him, is a mystery.
