Will be curious to see what, if any, impact the comments of Elliott and to a lesser extent Jones will have on the OSU program going forward. Not sure I ever recall seeing anything like this occur on an elite team. I'm sure it happens all the time on bad teams. But to blatantly call out the premier coach in college football is stunning (I know it is said he may have been calling out the o-coordinator but everyone knows Urban Meyer runs the offense anywhere he goes).
Aside from any impact this could have on younger players who no doubt want the same success these kids had, OSU loses a ton of talent after this year. Consider, on offense they lose Jones at QB, Zeke at RB, their TE, Braxton Miller at WR and I believe most expect their other stud WR, Thomas, to leave, both OT's and I believe also their C though it is possible he has another year. So they will return JT Barrett, their two G's and Jalin Marshall. And remember that Kareem Walker has de-committed. On defense they lose Bosa, Washington, Schutt and Hale from the line and Perry at LB. Not sure where S Von Bell may be projected to go in the draft if he declares. Their back 7 will be good again.
I know they recruit extraordinarily well but it is tough to replace that many elite players.
