OT: Big Springs Distillery

Awesome spirits, particularly vodka. It's also a good place to hang out--very comfortable with neat architecture.
Consistently of the slowest service I've ever experienced.
not very big and the food is snackish, but the booze is great. try the bourbon manhattan.
By the way, if you're in Bellefonte, you can get some truly awesome Italian at Mama Lucrezia's downtown. BYOB too.
Second the positive reviews for both Big Springs and Mama’s. We have our PSU second Home in Bellefonte and have been to both 20+ times. BS drink service sometimes seems slow because most special cocktails are multi ingredient. Food menu has expanded. Good music on most Friday’s from 6-8.
When going to Mama’s, highly recommend the Vodka Orichette.
Mama Lucrezia's is right downtown on South Allegheny Street. A definite must-go.
Big Spring Spirits is in the Match Factory off of Water Street.
If you're in the mood for Chinese, the Bellefonte Wok also has some good stuff.
Their vodka sauce is really good.
I'm a fan of the chicken Marsala, both in entree and pizza form. And then there's the garlic bread--nothing else needs to be said there.

I love Jim’s Italian Cuisine. The baked Italian hoagie is awesome. Jim’s used to be the Friday stop for a lot of PSU football players. I remember Clark used to take his lineman Friday’s before home games.
Hofbrau pizza also good.

thx. think we looked there at one time. liked being closer to bellefonte. we're out a bit but can hear the hs band on game nights and have a nice little piece of land off the condo deck. was from lh, but now live in yardley, bucks county.

Yeah have to always be careful with drive when leaving Bellefonte. We spend most of our time there when we’re up for weekends. Go to all football games and 4-5 hocky games per yr. advantage is only 10-12 min to State College. Sounds like you have a good setup too!
