Black Knight Invitational - Sun, Nov 24

I had the win loss record 59- 14 with 50 bonus wins . I thought Josh barr was best wrestler and curt McHenry could be the backup at 125 -133.
I don't know what more anyone would like Barr to do - two first period pins and two major decisions over guys who could probably challenge for AA this season. Very impressive tournament for Josh Barr. He got my OW vote.

I probably wouldn't look too far from that if I was wearing a bikini or speedo. They say that you shouldn't look at a nuclear bomb flash. Well, the same applies to me. It's unhealthy lol.

Much like a nuclear bomb, the flash from that get up will still burn out your eyeballs through your skull even if you are facing the opposite direction.

How Tyler Kasak Beat Alex Facundo

Seth Ciasulli, the video creator, seems to know Tyler pretty well. He has some interesting comments about Tyler near the end of this video. We saw Tyler's ability to come through in big matches during his national tournament run last year. I wonder if that's something the coaches take into consideration when making the final decision on who will be the starter?

"Tyler has always been more of a gamer. He shows up big for matches when everything is on the line. You'd be surprised how often wrestlers are the opposite. I coached Tyler in State Finals in 7th grade when he pinned Conner Harer, who is & was a multiple time State Champion, in what was just a crazy event. Tyler's Dad & I just kind of looked at each other & shrugged & moved on."

He’s Tyler’s Uncle Youth Coach, IIRC.

You have to be. We didn't burn the twins' shirts.
I think we agree? The 1st semester rule is about wrestling unattached (in a non-school singlet at an open, paying your own travel, etc)--it's no longer allowed for true freshmen. If you're competing in the 1st semester, you must wear the singlet, team pays for travel, and you use one of your available 5 (season long) dates, and preserve your shirt.

Kasak's redshirt is pulled this year by wrestling Black Knight. Cael was also apparently under the impression All Star pulled it also (depending on how you interpret rules) but Black Knight 100% pulled it.

Ryder and both Mirasola's redshirt were NOT pulled as they are true freshman and can wrestle attached as a free date. Technically Lilledahl's isn't either but pretty obvious he's the starter. Somewhat curious what the deal is with Sealey, hope he is okay. He isn't even certified but he is rostered so he enrolled and thus is not greyshirting.

Think one can still greyshirt if enrolled only part time (vice a full time student). That said, don't know the story is with Sealy or what his enrollment status is.

Here’s the video, where Seth reveals that he was Tyler’s youth coach. I had this under “Penn State Wrestling Instructional Technique Videos”.

he is Nate Desmond’s Uncle. He was the Red Hawk club coach and coached Desmond, Kasak, Dillard, Rath and Gaj for their entire youth careers and beginning of HS as well

No. You can wrestle attached as a true freshman up to 5 competition dates first semester.

Further, you aren't allowed to wrestle unattached Fall semester, if memory serves.

Freshman year, isn’t it? Levi's shirt was still on until the Iowa match 2 years ago. Last year Davis and Kasak were still wearing shirts while competing into the spring semester (at least I think so).

Good God... never been so wrong about something I already knew. Sheesh. Apologies mates!
