Any Civil War buffs? My GG Grandfather did three tours. I researched his first 90-day tour to follow in his footsteps. His 8th Regiment PA Volunteer Infantry was made up of many from northeastern and central PA.

I’m a big buff my great great grandfather fought for PA PVI 147th Company G. Someone in his company kept a journal that’s posted online. We lucked into finding photos of him. He signed up soon after the first Bull Run loss. It’s a hell of a read.

Very cool. Lots of great men volunteering and fighting for a great cause. My great great grandfather was hit two times and a third hit his bayonet. Our church cemetery has a very neat monument describing the event on one side. Company D, 153rd Regiment. Chancellorsville and Gettysburg

My great grandfather and his two brothers served in Co. B of the 101st Pa Volunteers.

My great grandfather fought at Fair Oaks, Blackwater and Yorktown.

One brother was captured at Plymouth, NC, held at Andersonville and then transferred to Florence, SC.

The other brother died of "exposure".
