my screen is only 3/4 of what it used to be. It only fills about 3/4 of what it usually does and unfortunately the "missing" part is the right side. I've tried: rebooting-no help, "flicking" like a cell phone screen-I thought this might do it but nope, putting the cursor on the edge of the frame until it turns into an "arrow" and then trying to move it in the direction needed-I thought this would do it(it seems to do it on my desktop) but it only moved the frame a small amount and that was the end of that. Other than telling me how computer illiterate I am, does anyone have any helpful ideas? Thanks in advance.

Assuming your using some version of Win, go to Control Panel > Display and look for Display Settings or Change/Adjust Settings.
Check Orientation - Landscape or Portrait
Resolution - 1366 x 768 or 1024 x 768, etc.
It may be trail and error, but its a start.

Both of those sound good but I had been working on the laptop and I did something on the touchpad, like rubbing on it and that is when the frame started moving aound to the lower right. I did get it some of the way back but not all.

Monty I did try this but nothing in the display options would do what I needed to be done.

I think you have a virus of some sort. My daughter had the very same symptoms about a week ago or so. She is running Windows 10.

Download "SuperAntiSpyware" the free version (the Red button).

Make sure the Database is updated before every time you run the program. I'd do a "Quick Scan" first and get rid of everything bad that it finds. Then reboot the computer and do a "Full Scan" and get rid of everything bad that it finds. Reboot again and you should be good to go.

I typically run this software once a week or whenever my computer seems sluggish.

I don't remember what program I have installed but it and its updates have been great so far(cross my fingers).

Sorry. I don't do Windows.

I did try a "ctrl" and +. All that did was to enlarge what was showing in the frame, not the frame itself.
Press and hold "ctrl" then "zero" with no plus sign. Sorry for the confusion. I've had similar issues with my touch pad in that if I lingered too long the screen would either zoom in or zoom out. "ctrl" then "zero" resets it to 100% default. Maybe that's not what you're experiencing but when you mentioned the touch pad it reminded me of what I had happen to me.

Don't have the laptop handy now-I'm on my desktop, but I'll give this a try later. Thanks.
