The more I think about it the more I like the trade. Eagles desperately needed a solid CB. Weren't going to be able to sign Matthews after this season anyway. I like him as a person but this is business

tough situation. Matthews has been their best WR for a few years. At the same time, he's had ongoing injury problems. And while the Birds' WRs were pretty poor last year, between FA signings and Agholor looking good in camp, it appears that WR is not a big problem with this year's squad.

on the flip side, CB was an issue last year, and has remained an issue through training camp. Darby should help.

I'm a little surprised that the Bills traded Darby, especially after losing Stephon Gilmore to free agency during the offseason. The Bills basically flipped Darby for E.J. Gaines from the Rams, and flipped Sammy Watkins for Jordan Matthews, and picked up an extra 2nd round and 3rd round pick in next year's draft.

Yup and Eagles really need solid CB in a division loaded with very good WR. Giants and Cowboys are loaded at WR

Good trade for the Eagles. Plus the 6 game suspension for Elliott at Dallas puts them back in the mix of things.
