It looks like Malwarebytes no longer offers free use of their latest/beta release.

Get an Apple computer, you won’t need anti-viral software.

It’s a hoax, let your computer become infected so it can gain natural virus immunity.
Make sure to lockdown your computer, shutting off any networking.

Make sure to mask your computer. A pillowcase over your screen will work.

If your computer is not vaccinated, shut off the power. That way it cannot infect other computers.

Feel free to visit every porn site, torrent site and do everything unhealthy. You’re vaccinated! Never mind that the vaccinated have higher rates of hospitalization and even death - presumably the blue screen of death - in different jurisdictions.

Ironically, that would work.

Ned, you can still get Malwarebytes for free but it doesn't provide real time protection so you have to run a scan when you'd like to clean things up.

You should also put superantispyware on your computer. This thing is a god send for windows devices and like malwarebytes the free version doesn't continually monitor so you have to initiate.

In addition to the above two, I make sure to setup Windows Defender properly for continual monitoring. Defender comes with Windows 10 and 11.

So, for my computer I run malwarebytes once per month and have a reminder setup. I run superantispyware once per week on Friday during lunch time.

Make sure pay attention to all prompts or you'll end with a pay version or a 90 free trial of the pay version.

Oh, and don't forget to load uBlock Origin on your machine. Almost all bad guys get deflected with this ad blocker. uBlock Origin is loaded by browser so Firefox has a different download than Chrome, etc. Just google how to add ublock origin for "browser name" for details.

I've used Avast for a number of years and recommend it. I switched over from AVG because I wasn't happy with the way AVG kept trying to insinuate itself into every part of my computer. Worse, it missed some deep stuff.

I've never used Malwarebytes for protection, but rather to run it for deep scans to detect and clean the nasty stuff. It does a better job at that than just about anything else.

Poor guy asks a question and every ego maniac, I-am-so-smart, liberal ass has to show off how damn witty he is. Now if a conservative had so they would be all butt hurt and crying “****boo hoo*****test ****sob*****board****” holding hands with their binary non gender mommy whining “I am so offended” and “Where’s my safe space.”

Thank you. I have now installed all of these things.

This is the correct answer of the thread.

I'd recommend paying the price for the full version of Malwarebytes and installing their browser extension. Between that, uBlock and Windows Defender you should have no need for any other antivirus software that will likely only slow down your system and provide little additional protection.
