Good evening,

I looked up the direction, but when I pull up a reply it does not give me an option to provide a third party link.

Thanks!

There is a list of icons just above the text box where you type the reply. Select the landscape button just to the right of the smiley face.

Weird, I do not have an Icon list at the top. Maybe it is a settings issue.
Where's the pic hosted? If it's on the internet you can just copy and paste
If it's not on the internet just maybe a pic you've taken or whatever he have to have it hosted on the internet like on Photobucket.com
From there u supply the link in the pic icon you see in the top bar of a reply window

+1 for this. If you just have a photo on your phone there's no way to post it. The photo needs to be uploaded to an internet picture hosting site as suggested - photobucket.com. Then once it is uploaded you can use the provided web address by photobucket and put it in the field that comes up when you click the icon next to the smiley face.

Um, photobucket now makes you pay for "third party services". That's why I do not use them any more. Flickr still works, though.

I am not sure what you mean about this, I have a photobucket account, and as far as I know, I dont pay anything. All I do is under the i (information) tab is copy the address and post. Perhaps I am Grand fathered, which I doubt.

You go to a site that has Diane Lane photos and select one. :) Then you copy the link and paste it in the landscape box next to the smiley face at the top of your post.

First you need to make an application to the Sig Pic Posting Subcommitee, along with a $250 Subcommitee Application fee, payable to Gambit Enterprises.

If the Subcommittee likes your application, then you will be notified by Certified Mail that your application has been forwarded to Full Committee for review - you must then submit a $500 Full Committee Application Fee, again made payable to Gambit Enterprises.

If it passes full committee, you will then be sent a certified letter notifying that your application has been accepted and that in order to receive the code to allow you to post pictures, you must pay the "Sig Pic Lock Box" Fee of $1000, made payable to Gambit Enterprises.

When the check clears, you will then be allowed to post pictures.

It's all in the Board Rules.

I want to thank you for your clear and concise description of the Board picture posting rules. Coming from an honored member of the Board, your unsolicited, unbiased, and accurate account of the Rules should be pinned at the top of the Board.
(Your check is in the mail. $$$)

Have you checked it lately? You have to subscribe to it for "third party hosting" defined by them as

Photobucket defines 3rd party hosting as the action of embedding an image or photo onto another website.

For example, using the <img> tag to embed or display a JPEG image from your Photobucket account on another website such as a forum, Etsy, eBay auction listings, blog, etc. is 3rd party hosting.

See link for more details.

Alas, poor Elizabeth Shue. She has been unceremoniously kicked off Gambit's Girl Next Door Pedestal.

Hey, LB.....not sure you saw it, posted a KUDOS to you last weekend with the Cal upset of Washington. A HUGE win and you moved Wash downwards in the poll. Hey hey!

I have no tolerance for a woman who refuses to answer my many emails and telephone calls.:(

I think it’s FAIR to say you should have put on your SHUE(S) and tracked her down but I suspect you’d have taken the wrong road and ended up on a LANE instead!

Thanks. ANY Cal win is a good win. Now, if we can just knock off Wazzu in the Palouse this coming Saturday night. Would be nice, but I'm more focused on the game in Ann Arbor this Saturday.

I just posted a pic from my library an hour ago. See PSU's AD above.
I tried one on my other board--got a blank/broken link as a result.

This is what photobucket says.

Here's an article about it.

Link

Not sure why it's working for you. But it is Photobucket's new policy.

I literally just posted this from my free photobucket account. When you go to their login page you can select the free account option. It’s in tiny print but it’s there.
