he did not call "glass"

LBJ has just dismantled the top team in the East, the "Lebronto" Raptors

I haven't seen this dominant of a performance in the playoffs in a long time.

He's not the GOAT, but this series he has been positively Jordan-esque.

I have to admit THT, I didn't see that awesome performance last night. At least not all of it.
Started watching while laying on my fresh line-dried sheets around 8:45 or so. Never saw the end of the first quarter.
Son comes into the house to change for after-prom and wakes me up. That's with 9:42 to play in the game. That last 9:42 was fun to watch. Didn't realize Cavs were up 17 and let it get tied up.
Fun to watch.

Yep, that's a pretty good day! Just watching his "fall away" shots was pretty impressive. Nothing fading there, he looked like he was going to the ground a couple of times.

cavs are -5.5 tonight . . . no respect for the #1 team in the East! they got to have SOME pride, right?

My son asked me a serious question I couldn't answer.
Who was/is better; James or Jordan?
I didn't follow NBA enough to answer.
Your thoughts, THT?

Jordan, no doubt in my mind. I think Lebron has greater physical talent, but I've watched Jordan single-handedly destroy a team of over the course of a game. I've watched Jordan score with complete impunity, then shut guys down on the defensive end.

so I was trying to refresh my memory of the Jordan/LaBradford Smith beef . . . (google it!) . . . one of THOSE Jordan stories that defines him as the GOAT.

SUMMARY: LaBradford Smith scores 37 for the Bullets with Jordan guarding him, but the Bulls still won the game. Jordan vowed to crush LaBradford Smith in the FIRST HALF of the next game (next night in Chicago) and proceeded to score 36 points in 2 quarters.

here's the rub . . . for years the tale has been that Smith talked trash to Jordan, so Jordan used it to motivate himself the next game. Turns out . . . JORDAN MADE IT ALL UP. He literally created a slight out of thin air. Just to make himself score 36 points in a half. That is some Jedi level basketball . . .

lol. jedi? no. dumb? yes.

People have turned Jordan into a mythological creature at this point.

Here's another plus in the Jordan column . . . I believe Lebron is CAPABLE of this feat, but could he actually achieve it?

Michael Jordan's 1987-88 season was insane (age 24):

- 35.0 PPG (led NBA), 5.9 APG, 5.5 RPG, 3.2 SPG (led league), 40.4 MPG (led league), 53.5% FG.

- MVP
- All-Star Game MVP
- Defensive Player of the Year
- Scoring Champion
- Steals Champion
- All-NBA First Team
- All-NBA Defensive First Team
- Slam Dunk Champion

I am a big LBJ fan but have to agree that I'd take Jordan over James. James would be second on my list. I am told that James' on court understanding of the game is savant-like. And, I'd probably prefer James on that late game possession in the playoffs over Jordan because the refs swallow their whistles and James can just out-fight anyone to the rim.
