OT: Lindsey Buckingham has heart surgery/vocal chord damaged

Saw him a few months ago at Sands Bethlehem, phenomenal. Heart issues can be a little intimidating and when you experience them, you may be uncertain at first, but you need to follow through in order to keep above ground. I speak from experience as 2/16 will be my two year anniversary of bypass surgery. My dear friend, MaconNitt, is a zipper club member, pre my surgery. Another good friend of ours had the same procedure 7 months after me and our brother in law, just 10 days after he was at the Pitt game in 2017, which was the last day I saw him alive, did not survive his surgery. If you have a history of heart disease in the family like I do (both sides), please make sure you get checked regularly. I’m am always grateful for every day above ground.

Amen Brother !

one of my favorites. how does the heart condition impact the vocal chords?
Intubation, leads via neck artery to monitor heart functions. I speak from experience when you wake up after open heart the worst is the breathing tube followed by them pulling out the neck artery leads. It is comparable to a magician that pulls out dozens of handkerchiefs from a hat. You think it’s never ending and are amazed at all that crap they can put into you for surgery. Open heart is basically a state of suspended animation.
