OT: New Spectre/James Bond trailer

I'll agree Waltz has a peculiar style of speaking, but there are worlds of difference between Hans Landa and Dr. King Schultz. 2 totally different moral centers. What is amazing to me is that Leo was brilliant in Django, but Jamie Foxx and Waltz still acted circles around him.
QOS is a direct sequel to Casino Royale, opens with a great car chase, has a very tight script with a lot more intrigue and action. and Olga Kurylenko. and Gemma Arterton.
Last time saw Moonraker was at a special screening with Richard Kiel a few years ago. a bit dated of a film (the producers pushed back For Your Eyes Only to make a film to appeal to the Star Wars crowd.) but some great fun if you suspend disbelief.
I didn't like QOS when it first came out, but partly because I thought Casino Royale was just so well done. However, over the last few years, I have come to enjoy the film. Good stunts (especially with the airplane), and the opening car chase scene is a great way to open any Bond film.

Fair enough, and part of the similarity for me is QT's dialogue with both characters cause for very similar performances IMO. Different moral center for sure, but mannerisms are nearly identical.
I loved CS so will definitely check out QOS. BTW, I absolutely detested Skyfall.
QOS moves at a faster pace than most Bond films. But there is a great metaphor (somewhat Biblical) of Bond being in deep pain over (SPOILER!) losing Vesper, that he must literally wander out into the world alone and "find" himself.
I really liked Skyfall. Bond is out of touch with the electronic age, so he forced the villain into his world....and was able to defeat him there using his experience, cunning, and guile. Frankly, it was Bond in his most elemental of natures - matching his wits and experience against that of the villain.
I've found investing 4 hours to watch CR and QOS back to back is pretty exciting. I haven't watched Skyfall since it came out on blu ray, recall it has great cinematography and Javier Bardem was quite the twisted villain, but the film was far too derivative of The Dark Knight
on a side note, my g/f wanted to watch the unrated version of Wolverine and loved it. still my favorite comic book adaptation . . .

Yeah, I have seen that. But, you know what? - I still liked the movie and when it comes on cable, I will sit down and watch it again.

Oh, I liked it too - just not the 'best Bond movie ever' or even close in my opinion. The villain and his plot are the worst I've ever seen; the villains in Austin Powers were more believable.
Some people felt differently. To each his own. Movies, like music are a personal choice.

OH DEFINITELY... she has been in some rather 'interesting' roles. Esp: 300 - Rise of an Empire, Sin City (AWESOME), Camelot (wish they had been able to continue this a Guinevere was absolutely stunning)...
Agree. Skyfall was awesome. Loved Judi Dench as M, but Ralph Fiennes as the new M should also be very good.
