Going to visit my sister for Christmas, who lives NE of Philadelphia.
Going to see Penguins vs. Devils on 12/27.
How easy is it to take the NJ transit from Trenton to Newark-Penn Station?
Can you walk from Newark-Penn Station to Prudential Center?
Thanks.

As long as PSU isn't in the Pinstripe Bowl that day, you should be fine. You might want to consider the Hamilton Station (first stop after Trenton), since there is a ton more parking and a nicer set-up/location than Trenton. Never walked it, but it looks like no more than a three block walk from Newark-Penn Station to the Prudential Center.

I haven't done it, but have co-workers who have. Sounds like it's easy to take NJT from Trenton to Newark-Penn Station. I know for a fact it is easy walk (like 5 minutes) from Newark-Penn Station to the Pru Center.

Yes, the train station to the arena is easy. They also set up security to make it safe.

In terms of taking the train I don't know. But from station to arena is easy.

you would take the NJ Transit NE Corridor Line from Trenton to Newark Penn Station.

piece of cake. there are NJ transit trains that run all day between those two points. I believe it could take anywhere from 50 minutes to 70 minutes, depending on which train you take. There are a couple of trains per hour, and more during rush hour.

it's two blocks away; a very easy walk

You can definitely walk from Newark-Penn Station to the Prudential Center, much of it through over the street tunnels.

Yes, as others have said, a short walk. If weather is bad or you'd rather not, there are always cabs at Newark Penn Station and they are generally cheap. You can walk outside and there are plenty of crowds and police around. There also a route that takes you in elevated walkways through Gateway Center that will probably be open.

Very little parking at Trenton Ststion, as has been mentioned. So Hamilton Station might be better and isn't too far away. Not sure where you're coming from, but if you're near a SEPTA station on a line that runs to Trenton, you could park or catch a train at one of those stations and take the train to Trenton and transfer. They have the schedules coordinated so that you can come into Trenton on either line and transfer to the other with minimal wait, 30 minutes or less to transfer, use the restroom, grab some food at the station, etc.

very easy to take the train from trenton to newark. it's very convenient. not sure about how far the train station is away from the Pru though. I'd google maps it.

Take train from North Philadelphia station to Newark. Or drive to Princeton and take the train ample parking.
