I posted the other day that I was so upset about potentially losing this board after about 26 years, my daughter (understanding the gravity of the situation) offered to design a replacement board. So, I discuss it a lot.

Me: "Today on the message board..."
Wife rolls eyes and ignores me.

Lol, before I had a phone I’d sit at the desktop to get on this board and my wife would say “Hi to psuro” when she saw me looking at some scantily clad lovely. (I’m easy to sneak up on.)

I said twice or so a week, but it’s probably more than that. It’s definitely more often than one would think. And I usually refer to it as the Penn State Board.

Never about football, but rather then other interesting threads that go on here, vacations spots, food interests, etc. even though she is a PSU girl.

We went to Vegas, Bryce, Zion and the Grand Canyon for our honeymoon so it was fun to see peoples thoughts on those destinations and for possible future ones

Her sources within the AD are way better than mine and mine are pretty good. I have told her about some of the speculation on the Clifford injury and she laughs.

Never for me. My wife doesn’t care. Several years ago during the O’Brien leaving drama she was telling me some story while I was constantly refreshing my phone to see if there were any updates and she said, “You’re not even listening to me, are you?” After I told her I wasn’t she said, “If I put it on that website with all your boyfriends you’d know what I was talking about.” Still makes me laugh because it’s true.

She did a nice job too. The best part is it got Tom off his ass! Sorry Tom, I just couldn't resist going all Glov.

Couple of times a week I have to hear how crazy I am to be discussing PSU football with a bunch of people I don’t know. She just doesn’t get us.:)

I tell my wife things from time to time. It’s to the point that when I mention something I’ve heard or read about, she asks whether it was from the Penn State page.

We had A huge fight one time because she told me some inside info about a high school football player we were recruiting. She is a high school guidance counselor. Right after she told me I opened my laptop and began typing away. She asked what I was doing, and I told her that I was sharing the news on the Penn State page. She flipped her lid! I never finished/published the post but she was furious. She sometimes brings up tid bits about athletes at her school and always slips in, that I’m not allowed to post about it on the Penn State page. I tell her that if it’s a secret then she Shouldn’t tell me. LOL That was years ago and it’s no longer a hot button issue.

Also, I told her that if I ever die, she is supposed to say goodbye to everyone on the Penn State page.

Never. She thinks I'm nuts for yelling at the TV during games and wouldn't like the Midnighter polls. She just doesn't get it.

I treat this like a secret society (or Vegas)- what happens here stays here (makes me feel important).

I often talk about off-topic things she'd be interested in. Would never show her any of @psuro posts, since those are strictly things that I'm interested in.
Agree, it’s the OT things I learn here that I share, better than MSM

Now I know why you had your desk and monitor (at work) positioned the way it was. So no one could sneak up on you. :)

@LionJim, you left out an “N/A” option for us lonely divorcés who are struggling to meet someone new in the COVID era.

COVID is my current convenient excuse anyway. I’ve actually been divorced eight years and my dating attempts have been pretty disastrous. 🙄

The one woman who made it to SO status for a while blindly hated Penn State in the post-Sandusky scandal era, and there was no trying to convince her to see things differently. So nope, I didn’t discuss the board with her!
