OT: Reviving Friday Jukebox

The Guys Downstairs is an internet band consisting of experienced musicians who, as they put it, are “too lazy to gig anymore!” They get together in the studio once a month or so, turn on the mics and cameras, and record tunes.

They used the David Bowie guitar riff from Rebel Rebel.

I just looked it up and David Bowie has a co-writing credit on the song. My guess is they have to give him a writing credit when they use that much of it. I wonder where the line is between how much you can use without giving credit and when you have to start giving credit.
And when you have to pay royalties 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ev-ery-body have you heard. If there's a better version of this song then I haven't seen it. These two were married when they did this. With them as with many other famous people, the marriage didn't last. But their live version of this song is still pretty great.

I run hot and cold on John Cougar Mellencamp. But watching "The Bear" they have this song on as the team is working their asses off to keep their restaurant open. Anyone who went through their 30s and 40s with a spouse and kids can relate.
