Pitch perfect, not a wrong note throughout. Not usually the sort of film I go to the theater for, but damn glad I did.

Hilarious throughout. I get where you're coming from, most comedies you see are funny here and there, they try too hard to be funny, but in this movie the comedy is is effortless. It's not easy to explain what I'm trying to say. One reviewer compared it to a Mel Brooks film, I do see a comparison to Young Frankenstein in that it's consistently, effortlessly funny. The humor is PG, pretty much, but the language is hard R, not for kids.Have to ask because some of her movies were just bad or inappropriate for certain ages/ sensibilities- was it a good movie? Funny throughout or the only funny parts shown in the commercials?

It was hilarious - great cast. Jude Law hamming it up, Alison Janney, Statham, that hilarious tall English friend.Pitch perfect, not a wrong note throughout. Not usually the sort of film I go to the theater for, but damn glad I did.

Did you stay through the credits? If not, damn, you missed one last belly laugh. It was hilarious - great cast. Jude Law hamming it up, Alison Janney, Statham, that hilarious tall English friend.
I was going to weigh in yesterday, but people expect long critiques. I loved the "I look like someone's homophobic aunt" line. Wish there were some out takes - looks like the cast had a fun time making it.
Damn - I usually do.Did you stay through the credits? If not, damn, you missed one last belly laugh.
Let this be a lesson to each and every one of you. With comedies, you never leave until the lights go up.Damn - I usually do.
Maybe Paul Blart, Mall Cop II or the latest Adam Sandler oeuvre is more your style.Movie was just o'k, IMO. Took your advice and saw it, Sunday evening.
I definitely enjoy comedies more in the theatre than to watch them at home. For some reason, they are funnier. Same holds true for scary movies, too. They seem scarier/intense in the theatre than at home.
But, I wouldn't recommend the movie. It was a B- type of movie - enjoyable, but for $12 + popcorn, I probably could've done better.
No. But I am anxiously waiting for another Oliver Stone movie. ;-)Maybe Paul Blart, Mall Cop II or the latest Adam Sandler oeuvre is more your style.
