Phils are pitching a guy tonight with a 6.10 ERA over 20 starts this season and a WHIP of 1.67? And a batting average against of .327 while giving up 20 HRs? Seriously?

And this against a team that has scored 49 runs in 4 games. Oye vey!

I could get ugly tonight unless Williams throws one of his better games which is about a one in seven probability.

I know they have been hitting great lately , but look on the bright side...My Metsies have a history of making scrub pitchers look like Cy Young. (-: but hopefully that won't be the case tonight.

Is there anything in the pipeline to get excited about for the Phils?
When it comes to baseball I'm an eternal optimist but I think the Phils have a lot of good young raw talent thanks in large part to some of the recent trades. I'd like to think everyone will reach their full potential but that's just the optimist talking. We'll see how it goes.

It could always be worse ...... I was at the Detroit Tigers game on Saturday Night.

Who did the Tigers trot out as starting pitcher? Randy Wolf!!!

I thought that guy was surely out of the Major Leagues. Well, he essentially was, he had pitched only 25 Innings in the 2013-2015 time span prior to Saturday night. Having a 6.00-ish ERA in 2012 while a full-time starter with Milwaukee will cause that to happen.

Tigers lost that game, 5-3.

Still had one of the best curves I've ever seen. Was up in the lower second deck at GABP in Cincy a number of years back and folks (Reds fans, mind you) were oohing and awwing over his curve. Spectacular that night.
