OT: Would love to see the Lions start off the way we know they can.

I would feel a lot more confident if Sam Ficken had another year of eligibility. I expect PSU to win this game, but also expect some heartburn and high blood pressure. We just don't know what to expect... I have first game jitters! 
Remember it well with Curtis Enis running all over the field. Those were they days when we had a running game every year for 30 years or more!
We all got the jitters. We all know that we'll have a real fine team next year, but I want to look top-caliber NOW. I think that eventually, towards the end of the season, we'll be a pretty good team, but I really want to start the season rolling. Jim. We don't all have the jitters. I don't understand all the love for Temple. They are a decent team but we will win this game easily. Save the worries for OSU. We will be unbeaten when we play them. They will give me the jitters!
I think the offense, especially the OL, will sputter a bit vs Temple, but will improve steadily as the season progresses. I also think Barkley will supplant Lynch as the starting RB by the time OSU rolls around. He's that good. My thinking is we get to 9 regular season wins this season and 10 next year.
We shouldn't discount that last year, in addition to being Franklin's first game as head coach, he had to deal with the Dublin trip. This year they should have much more time to focus on the game planning and preparation. I expect them to come out strong in front of a "home" crowd at the link. It will be like the Pinstripe Bowl trip for many of the players. Remember, Temple didn't have the benefit of the extra weeks of bowl practice.
