Lehigh star Ryan Crookham (133 lbs) will miss the rest of the season after suffering a broken elbow. Very unfortunate, as he seemed ready to do big things this year following a stellar freshman campaign. Crookham gave our own Braeden Davis in his only loss this season in a very close match.

Sammy Sasso is wrestling at 157lbs. He has a Fall and Tech Fall after 2 rounds.
*Mason Gibson is wrestling at 133lbs for Rutgers. He won his first round 13-7. Second round he won 15-0. In the Quarter Finals Mason wrestled Ethan Berginc of Army. He lost 2-1 on riding time. Berginc had 1:04 of riding time. Mason looked good. I think he would look even better at 125.
*Mason Gibson advances in the consolations with a 13-3 MD
*Mason will wrestle for 5th place after a 10-3 win in the consi semis. The 4 semi-finalists will decide places 1-4.
*Sam Beckett of PSU will wrestle in the Semi-finals after a 12-0 MD in the quarters. Sorry I missed it earlier.
*Sasso is in the finals after a 10-8 win over McDaniel of Army.
*Sam Beckett into the finals after a 12-1 MD in the semis.
*Mason wins 5th place after a 9-8 win over Lopez of American. Tied at 8-8 and Mason trying to kick free......the ref called a stall for Lopez being on the leg for 5 seconds. He called it with 1 second remaining. The American coaches were not pleased. Neither was Mason.
* Sammy Sosa lost via pin in the finals at 157lbs. Jackson Arrington was leading 20-6 at the time of the pin. Sammy looked completely worn out early on. 6 matches in 7 hours after a cut to 157 was too much for Sammy. So good to see him looking healthy.
*Sam Beckett finishes 2nd after dropping a 15-3 decision to Jack McGill of Columbia

I’m watching Rocco Welsh right now at F&M open. He’s wearing an Ohio State singlet. Doesn’t this mean he’s out of redshirt??

Interesting regarding Sasso at 157. I wonder if he's going to go down and push Paddy out. Neither one has looked good at all in their current spots. Sasso would probably benefit, but who knows about 165. Also, don't they have two duals this weekend? I guess he's not going in the duals?

man that sucks!

Doesn’t Michigan have a huge bankroll for wrestling? Why are all these guys ranked so low this year? What had happened to B1G wrestling?

I think he is doing the tournament this weekend instead of the duals because he is planning on staying at 157 and needs to get his match count up, as his seeding this year could make a big difference where he finishes if he isn't quite the Sasso of old. None of his 165 matches will count for ranking/seeding him at 157.

The Saldate that gave Haines a good tussle last year losing is big blow to Mich.

Maryland will finish up with Nevills, who is having a good year.

Arrington dominated Sasso, was winning 20-6 at the time of the fall.

Sasso struggled to win in both the quarters and semis. In the quarters, he beat Cleveland State's starter (who went 12-12 last year) 12-7, needed a 3rd-period takedown to seal it. In the semis, he beat Army's 149 starter who bumped up, 10-8 on a takedown with under 20 sec left in the 3rd.

Michigan is winning the dual if Ragusin weren't injured.

The dual will probably come down to HWT, Snacks vs Heindselman. Maryland will win 184, Michigan should win 165-174-197 with Cardenas likely getting bonus.
