Johnson is taking it to him, for some reason the 2nd stall call against Teemer didn't result in a point for Johnson.

And Teemer injury defaults.

Teemer trying to go with a very hurt hamstring was painful to watch. Heal up young man; March is four months away.

Any results or scores?
I think Caliendo won 8-7 against ISU’s backup. Team score is 12-9 ISU after 165. Brands wisely pulled his son in favor of Kennedy who is probably going to tech or major Riggins.

Listening to the Iowa broadcast, They just said Ferrari just blow a kiss at the Iowa State coaches? Yes good son. You just beat me

Bastida vs Keuter was good. Keuter was quicker but not as sound positionally or in scrambles.

Wait, I thought when Kueter focused 100% on wrestling he’d be unstoppable?

I’m actually a big Kueter fan for freestyle with the 225ish weight class, but he’s too light for NCAA HWT.

Jore Volk lost for the 2nd time in two days. Yesterday to Spratley and today to wrestlestat 56 Antonio Lorenzo from Oklahoma? A career 500 wrestler.

Was hoping Volk was undefeated and still at #2 when Luke tears into him.

Not defending it, but Paniro blew a kiss to I believe the fans after his hand was raised for the win. Retaliation

It was Echemendia that blew a couple kisses Iowa's way after his loss. He had a few penalty points against him that lost him the bout. He had the only takedown in the match.

I think Echemendia also took neutral when he had choice, rather than taking down and trying to escape. The decision to take neutral resulted in a 2nd period with no scoring. Don't know much about Echemendia's prowess from bottom, but thought it was an unusual decision at the time.

The kiss goes back a few years. Bastida was the trendsetter after beating Warner. Last year was Gabe.

Ech is notoriously bad on bottom. His background in Cuba is 100% freestyle. Mat wrestling is what prevented him from beating out D’Emilio at OSU (although off mat issues are ultimately why he left).

I was gagging during the Echemendia match. Gibbons spewing about what fine young men both of the wrestlers were. Echemendian was kicked off tOSU team for domestic violence. So many other matches he could have chosen to discuss instead of this one

A lot of the commentating definitely got cringy, but I believe that was Tim Johnson not Jim Gibbons.
