Steveson 19-3 TF. Never even thought about a fall though. I don’t know. You’re in a tight dual. You lost one you thought you’d win. Not even try for a fall? Instead tech in like 3:15? I don’t like it. Wrestled for himself and not for the team. Sometimes I think a dual meet championship is the way to go. (Don’t tell Cael.)

Dang. 2nd period rideout at 125 (and not 165) by smith over Flynn. That’s rough for Minny.

Some of both.

Vombaur's biggest mistake was getting complacent after cutting Hardy in the 3rd period, giving up an immediate TD. Good move by Hardy, but that shouldn't happen.
There was a Winn-Dixie-ish move by Hardy that made a huge difference too. Vombaur was about to get a TD

Caleb Smith looked really good. He'll be a nice challenge for Luke next week.

I think some of those weight classes are wrong

Who is this Max McEnelly you speak of.?....tell me more Jerry (a Seinfeld reference, not the Jerry on this board). ;)

I don't follow college wrestling as closely as most on here, but he must be tough. Ranked #4, a RS freshman, and he easily took care of Allred.

Or has Allred fallen that far?

When two teams finish in a tie in a dual meet or a team-advancement tournament, the following criteria shall be applied to determine a winner: a Greater number of victories Note: Forfeits, defaults and disqualifications count toward total number of victories. b Combined total number of falls, forfeits, defaults and disqualifications c Total match points scored only from decisions, major decisions and technical falls d Total near fall points scored only from decisions, major decisions and technical falls (Example: N-2 + N-3 + N-4 = Total of 9 near fall points scored for one team) e Total number of takedowns scored only from decisions, major decisions and technical falls (Example: T-3 + T-3 + T-3 = Total of 3 takedowns scored for one team) f Least number of unsportsmanlike conduct calls g First takedown scored in the dual meet

Geez, what a wall of text and complexity just to avoid a draw.

Good grief.

A bit of both. McEnelly is the real deal. Had a great redshirt season and has started this season extremely strong. Allred isn’t the same guy who beat Max multiple times and won Big 10’s as a freshman though. Not sure what happened but he has absolutely dropped off

Considering he looked pretty lean at 197 I am going to go with his biggest problem is he is only a fraction of himself.
