O'Toole vs. Carr on Feb. 15

I think Otoole takes it. He's really very good. Wouldn't mind the Carr win though.

I'll take Carr in this one if I have to pick, but they are both NCAA champ caliber wrestlers. Is this on TV at all?

Heart wants Carr. Gut says O’Toole. Rumor has it that they are planning to start the meet at 174. Toss up dual. Should be exciting.

Cancelled Flo in January. Anywhere to listen to it?

Will be interesting to see how both guys approach this.

From a team perspective: most likely all the pressure will be on Carr. Iowa State matches up poorly with Missouri and conceivably might only win 184. O'Toole only needs to wrestle for himself, not for the team.

From an individual perspective: this match is essentially an exhibition. They'll meet again in the B12 finals -- the winner of that match will get the 1 seed at nationals regardless of this one. The loser of that match will be the 2 or 3 and face Griffith in the semis.

If they wrestled 10 times, maybe they each win 5. There are other bouts that are compelling in this dual too, if they happen;

8 Brock Mauller vs 10 Paniro Johnson
4 Rocky Elam vs 7 Yonger Bastida
7 Zach Elam vs 9 Sam Schuyler
Rocky is going to win this one, if not, I owe you a sprite a Bigs.

I think they split their first 2 and O’Toole wins the rubber match at NCAA’s… not sure in what order or result finish the first two go in however.

Just go to flo watch menu and watch the little preview box for the dual. Might require periodic refresh. Used to work, anyway. Not sure if they fixed it.

I think O’Toole wins. Carr is so good and extremely hard to score on but O’Toole has the most diverse skill set in college wrestling. Should be a really great match and I love that both guys seem excited and are ready to toe the line tonight. With so many big matches not happening this should be a win for all of us fans

Obviously excited for this one but beyond that match it could be an absolutely fantastic dual with tons of great matchups.

Was Swiderski really overhyped because he wrestled Woods close? He's 2-7 in duals.

Need to see the other angle but didn’t look like Johnson was even close to being pinned.

Mauller just pinned Paniro Johnson with about 10 seconds left in SV. Johnson was close to a TD but Mauller kept the whizzer in and Johnson tried to throw his legs over the top and Mauller put him to his back and pinned him. 21-9 Mizzou

Wild finish in Mauller vs Johnson. Johnson close to a TD in SV a few times and then Mauller, just when it looks like he’s about to be taken down, pins Johnson.

I’d have to watch it again, but I think Johnson tried to step over Mauller’s whizzer and I could hear my middle school coach screaming “never step over a whizzer”, followed by “that’s why”.

Team point deduction on Mizzou after the fall, I believe.

Well Paniro got screwed there. Standing control behind Mauler, he clearly touched his hand and no TD after a brick and review.

How many standing grambies have we seen this year resulting in a reversal or escape only to have the brick thrown and it reversed and ruled a takedown due to an instantaneous hand touch during the standing gramby?

Ps - this just in, official's don't like to reverse their mistakes

He knew he was probably in trouble if it went to ride outs. Nearly got caught a bit before that too. Thought he would have been okay if he could have slipped the leg in. I think that long break was not to his benefit either.
