This didn’t age well.Prediction: O’Toole. Carr won’t score, the gap between the two will be evident.
Glad I was wrong. Carr looked awesome!I think O’Toole all 3 times
O'Toole obviously not near the top of the weight class.Carr controlled that match the whole way.
Alex's defense was strong but he wasn't close to taking Carr down. Also, I'm not the biggest fan of his rubber kneeing ... led to him getting injured for a bit.Carr looked great there. Keegan was close on a second takedown in the second but David showed great defense and then got a huge late 2nd takedown of his own. Rides him out in the 3rd. Great match. Can’t wait to hear Askren’s thoughts.
I’d have to rewatch the Facundo/Carr match but Alex is right there.
if you think that match has any bearing on facundo you’re out of your mind. he lost to patrick kennedy like a week ago guys.O'Toole obviously not near the top of the weight class.

Didn’t anyone tell you? Facundo was sick on January 27th.if you think that match has any bearing on facundo you’re out of your mind. he lost to patrick kennedy like a week ago guys.
“nelson brands is clearly a title contender at 174 because he lost on RT to starocci”. that’s how foolish you sound.
great match from carr

The gap between the two was evident. Wow. That’s the best performance by anyone this year and one of the best I’ve seen in a little while.Prediction: O’Toole. Carr won’t score, the gap between the two will be evident.
You had a freshman wrestling a national champion for the first time and you act like his 4-2 loss was a blowout or something. And you totally disregard what Cael and his staff does in developing elite recruits especially in preparing them for March. I get it, you've called it all year that Facundo won't AA... you're being consistent but you're an idiot to keep talking as if he's a bum.if you think that match has any bearing on facundo you’re out of your mind. he lost to patrick kennedy like a week ago guys.

We see why Cael emphasizes end of period wrestling in that match. The gap between the two was evident. Wow. That’s the best performance by anyone this year and one of the best I’ve seen in a little while.
The technique on the first takedown was AB-esque. I’m always impressed at how AB does things by the book, and that’s exactly what Care did on the first finish. Just step by step until he got the finish. We see why Cael emphasizes end of period wrestling in that match.
Exactly why he's transferring here after the seasonThe technique on the first takedown was AB-esque. I’m always impressed at how AB does things by the book, and that’s exactly what Care did on the first finish. Just step by step until he got the finish.
After Jacob Woodley transfers along with a certain 125 or 133 pounder......do you think there will be a need for Carr?Exactly why he's transferring here after the season
This is why we have the expression, "hindsight is 20-20." Nothing easier than this reply. Questioning the take before it happens? ... THAT is prescience. This didn’t age well.
Think this is fair as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if the B12 final is closer and/or a different result. Think Carr-KOT-Griffith are in a class of their own at 165.I'm still taking Keegan at 165 this year.
Someone should ask Ben if Carr reminds him of Chris Pendleton.Next FRL should be fun.
Someone should ask Ben if Carr reminds him of Chris Pendleton.
Oh that’s right, he can’t remember back that far…
I can't wait for 165 at nationals. Carr looks unbeatable and O'Toole and Griffith and former champs in the draw as well. Then there is Monday always a contender, plus the young guns Hamiti, Kennedy, Facundo, and Kharchla coming from the B1G. Oh yeah, and Cam Amine, too. Yee haw, bring it on!!!!You had a freshman wrestling a national champion for the first time and you act like his 4-2 loss was a blowout or something. And you totally disregard what Cael and his staff does in developing elite recruits especially in preparing them for March. I get it, you've called it all year that Facundo won't AA... you're being consistent but you're an idiot to think he's some kinda bum or something.
Here it is. Johnson did step over the whizzer and tried to hook the leg. Mauller blocked the leg, then grabbed the ankle, sat on Johnson's shoulder, and rolled back over.I’d have to watch it again, but I think Johnson tried to step over Mauller’s whizzer and I could hear my middle school coach screaming “never step over a whizzer”, followed by “that’s why”.
I was more impressed with the tenacity he showed in finishing the second TD.The technique on the first takedown was AB-esque. I’m always impressed at how AB does things by the book, and that’s exactly what Care did on the first finish. Just step by step until he got the finish.
good call LOLPrediction: O’Toole. Carr won’t score, the gap between the two will be evident.
I mean, the final sentence was accurate at least. LOL.good call LOL
They should post the non TD call hand post that cost Paniro the matchHere it is. Johnson did step over the whizzer and tried to hook the leg. Mauller blocked the leg, then grabbed the ankle, sat on Johnson's shoulder, and rolled back over.
