Over / under

Zane + Nolf + Nickal = 15.5

Do you have over or under?

That seems like a pretty good number.

Kutler has wrestled Nolf reasonably well in the past (albeit in freestyle and before Nolf arrived in State College), and Gardner held Zain to a major last year. Something like one major, one tech and one pin among the three weight classes wouldn't surprise me. That would be 15. So I guess I would take the under.

Betting on the time an unranked opponent will last on the mat with them? I'll take the under.

It was meant for Lehigh only . . . And I started with 15, which is my guess, but I figured 15.5 would break any ties .

I'd go Under if at Lehigh because Zain and Nolf in particular face tough guys who've stuck close before, but this being the first time this season on BTN, at the BJC, can see all three pinning out. They've each raised their game this year and should be especially up for this dual.

Looking at the Matchups
#1 Zain Vs. #9 Laike Gardner - Zain is a pin machine so i think he pins him
#1 Nolf Vs. #14 Jordan Kutler - I think Nolf will Tech fall him
#3 Bo Vs. UR Kyle Gentile - Gentile is a freshman who is 0-3 i think Bo Pins him

So i will take the over

Gentile is 1-2 with a 3-2 loss to Dakota Geer (who is in a medal match at Cliff Keen) and an opening night loss to Hoffman where he looked like the better wrestler in the first half of the match and then just completely ran out of gas (I was in the stands). Not sure if true, but one of the Lehigh guys said he was not cleared to practice until the week of the match and had to cut a bunch of weight that week.

Anyway, a lot of sentences to say that Gentile is probably pretty decent. But Bo will still pin him.

I don't think Nolf will tech Kutler. JMO, I think it will be a major. Maybe close, but Kutler is pretty darn good and I think he will do just enough (20,21-8 or something like that).

Zain the real key to the over/under. I feel like Gardner should be a kid he majors 14-4 or something like that, but the way he has started off - if he gets you on your back at any point, you're likely pinned.

I may be rethinking my under call here.

I called 15 today. I was way wrong. Happily so!

These 3 young men are incredibly impressive. I don't think any of them will be denied this year. Gabe Dean or no Gabe Dean.

Me too! Expected Zain to major, Nolf to TF, Bo to pin = 15. Zain beat the crud out of Gardner this time. A much different match than last year.

There is a reason it was a different match. Zain is much improved from last season. Let that sink in for a moment.
