It's still around and offers a few sports. Doesn't have its own wrestling team, co-ops with Loyalsock.

Now called Saint John Neumann Regional Academy...all the Williamsport basketball players who don't want to compete in 6A seem to always find their way to SJNRA. el-Jefe is correct they co-op football and wrestling with Loyalsock. I believe Crae McCracken was a SJNRA kid who played football and wrestled for Sock. Crae's dad, Chris, wrestled for Jersey Shore and took 2nd to Kurt Angle at PIAA's back in the day. Lost like 3-2 or 6-4.

I see there's another schadel for line mountain wrestling 106. Is he related schadel that won states back in the day I'm figuring maybe a son. He was pretty good. That longensater kid was pretty good as well

Nazareth and Becahi both put 8 each in tonight’s finals . Can’t wait to watch , Kasak looking great if anyone wants to know how this is PSU related
For those who get the channel, I saw the D11 AAA finals will be on PCN at 530. And a replay at 330 AM, for you insomniacs.
Obviously trust in Cael but I hope Kasak isn't being treated as a backup plan (seems like a M2 PA kid should be a slam dunk any time we prioritize him but you never know) to Meyer Shapiro. I might be crazy but in folk? I think he will be just as good as a prospect.
I wasn't able to go today to District 11 semis. Just checked the brackets. Pins galore in both AA and AAA. 189 AAA might have some fireworks. Sasso and McIntyre both big move guys have pinned all the way through. I think Sonny's brother wrestles for Ohio State at 149. 😉😒
They're not likely to be at the same weights.
Chris McCracken was scary good for Jersey Shore. Athletic HWT with a fireman's dump that everybody knew was coming but nobody could stop. We were all shocked when he didn't win states ... and then a lot less shocked a few years later when we saw how good Angle was.
Chris was very good. Just shows you how good Angle was and was to become. If I was Chris, after seeing Angle's success in college and the Olympics I could get over the loss a little. But I bet he still thinks he could take Angle.

I've lived in NC for over 30 years but still miss PA High School wrestling, especially the post-season. Thank goodness for websites and message boards.

Your obsession with Hartman (not Hartmen) is quite clear. I don’t think continually mentioning the same thing over and over is really changing anything. I think we agree on the subject of recruiting however the continuous posting is starting to seem obsessive.

No he is referring to the District XI wrestling chairman Robert Hartman. Before anybody tries to discredit the message I do not know or ever talked to Hartman. Just been following the board

Degan Condimitti did win Outstanding Wrestler from Northampton. I read he and another local kid went out to Nebraska (brother Jaeger) to workout a couple of weeks ago. Nebraska Asst. Coach Snyder is working this area hard.
District 11 is loaded with young talent. A lot of underclassmen in finals. A couple of stud Freshman. Desmond, Rath and I think Mateo to name a few. Hopefully Cael takes a look before they all go to Nebraska and Princeton (also working the area).

On the freshmen - Desmond’s uncles both wrestled at Lehigh (Matt and Seth Ciasulli) and Rath’s dad played running back at Lehigh. Not that it guarantees anything, but both have pretty strong ties to the local school (and Becahi sends a lot of kids there).
Mateo isn’t on that level, I’d say he’s third out of the Saucon freshmen behind Hubert and Grogg - and I don’t think any would have a Penn State future. But Mateo did have the big win that clinched state finals. Also, the issue with recruiting Saucon kids (outside of Crookham, who doesn’t really count) is the same as Northampton kids in the ‘90s - really physically strong, lots of throw/cement stuff as base offense, not a lot that translates to college where everybody is good and has a weight room.
The other big time freshman in the Valley is Tahir Parkins, who has a really high ceiling. He, Desmond, and Rath all won 3A last night, the one other freshman in finals was Chris Kelly from Easton (pinned by Desmond at 106). He’s probably state medalist good, but not state champ good like the other three. Frankly, the next best freshman in the Valley is probably Shane McFillin, the backup 106 at Becahi, who might be in the mix to win states if he wasn’t behind Desmond. Charlie Scanlon, who got bumped out of Becahi’s lineup at 145 for Harmon’s drop, is probably next.
Anybody catch why one of the Williams twins (manheim township) forfeited out of the finals at district 3?
their issue with recruiting is Central Dauphin and Cumberland Valley are known strong programs with good coaches
Was Rath's dad from Pius. ? The had a Rath kid that was a great running back and wrestler..
Yep, Erik Rath is his dad. Took Pius to a state final in football, and I think had a couple state medals on the mat. Had an pair of All Patriot League year at Lehigh, and is still top 10 in school history in yards and touchdowns.
The 113 Williams, Kaedyn who was AAA state champ at 106 last year, avenged his sectional loss to Nico Tocci of Warwick with a 7-3 win in district finals.
The 120 wrestler who won due to Kamdyn Williams' injury is Mason Leiphart of Dover; he's undefeated for the year, 3rd last year at States 120, and should be one of the favorites this year.
