Patrick Glory = Finland?

Funny you posted this, the analogy with 1980 hockey team came to mind after Ramos beat Lee.

Herb Brooks to his team after defeating the Soviets and getting ready to play Finland for Gold:

"If you lose this game, you'll take it to your grave...your *$%#@ grave!"
Ohio State association aside, I always liked when Woody Hayes told his players they had to beat Clemson because "these sons-of-b****es killed my great-grandpappy in the Civil War!" I believe that's my favorite pregame speech ever.

Later I looked it up and learned that Woody Hayes's great-grandfather, David Hayes, was indeed killed at the Battle of South Mountain in 1862. Now that's hate!

So I guess the Pat Glory = Finland analogy falls apart, since Pat won.

Congrats to Glory and congrats to Ramos for giving us the most exciting minute in the history of the NCAAs…even though it was in the semifinals.

Um I though it was Sweden, never mind the soviets beat Sweden and USA beat Finland.
