Nice to see the D get off the field right away. Unfortunately, with the punt return Utah flipped the field anyway.
Going to need to get rid of the ball in a hurry today. Not a Clifford strength.
He can scramble for a first or 2 but called qb runs often aren't very successful. Maybe he has a tell? Maybe we just don't block it well?
Singleton looks fast today, wouldn't be shocked if he breaks one at some point.
Anyone else wishing Franklin would have gone for it. Or at least line up and try for the off sides on Utah. Gotta be able to get 1/2 yard if you are the better team.......
Franklin always does the opposite of what I would do. Goes for it on 4th when I think he shouldn't and vice versa. I QB sneak it there.
Glad we didn’t go for it. A fail and Utes score would be bad. Too early to take stupid risks.
Yep, but PSU seems to do the same strategy every game. Run the first couple series. A quick pass or tww among those first two series might have gotten Utah LB's backed up a bit

It was/is shaping up to be a field position game. If down 14 or 10-0, maybe. But not 0-0. Can't give Utah field position and momentum.

In fairness, after the receiver was bumped by the defender he stopped running that hard. The receiver needs to keep going and not let up.
