Well- grad transfer hopefully means he has his degree, and besides all of the other reasons posted, maybe he can be a guaranteed starter with increased NIL for his last college go round.
Since a few of those teams finished in the 50-60 range in total team defense, it should be pretty easy to see if you are right at the end of the season.
Granville working hard in s&c already up to the 240s as well with lots of raw athleticism. I think he could be the next Carter.

Not being a pessimist on Granville as I think he’s got a ton of talent, but you may wait a long damn time for the next Abdul Carter. I’d love to be wrong on this.
Well, you're talking about a player who is going to be one of the top two or three picks in the draft, so it's unfair to judge anyone by him. Almost any edge rusher on any team in 2025 is going to be a drop in quality from Carter. With that said, Carter wasn't Carter in 2022, so it doesn't mean that his replacements can't develop into impact players like Carter did.
Durant is a very good d-tackle; he had a great season last year. Also, Sutton has great athletic ability; there aren't many defensive ends who could've made that INT in the Orange Bowl. Any team in the country would love to have those two players.
