FB Recruiting Penn State lands Texas A&M Transfer Offensive Guard TJ Shanahan

This is the guy that was uber driven by the NIL bag the first time around, so I imagine we paid good money for him. Hopefully not too much......we need to to buy some WRs.

Yeah, I’m pissed off about the WR’s as well, but oline depth is extremely important.
Call me crazy but I think we use Olesh in WR positions similar to the playbook we had for Warren in WR positions. Won’t be an every down player but I think we see him often. Our TE room is too good and WR room too bad not try this.

Yeah he is a phenomenal talent but needs to bulk up significantly for TE. I like the idea of potentially using him as a Joe Jurevicious type wr if he can run a 4.5 40. Dinkins seems to have good hands and decent speed. Could we use him as more of a WR in his senior season?

“Three-level pass catcher with a favorable combination of measurables and traits that has a chance to emerge as a game-changing combo tight end on Saturdays. Tested in the upper percentile spring before senior season, clocking a 4.6 in the 40-yard dash and a 4.13 in the short shuttle at just under 6-foot-5, 215 pounds. Has been deployed primarily as a large outside receiver at the prep level, but has proven to be an effective move blocker out on the perimeter and has finished a bulk of his run-blocking chores when asked to work out of a three-point stance. Mixes gears well as a route runner and turned heads at the Elite 11 Finals with his dynamic cuts, large catch radius, and superb body control. Competitive with the ball in his hands as he will use his burst and agility to get out of tackles. Will need to add some mass in the coming years and keep progressing as an in-line player to reach full potential, but should be viewed as a future multi-year starter at the Power Four level that can elevate a passing attack after a developmental year or two. NFL upside given the growth potential and how he moves.” - 247 analyst

Dynamic cuts, large catch radius, superb body control. Sign me up. I’m sure he’d be fine as a “wr” in his run blocking as well. Obviously he needs to prove it in practice/on the field but I like his chances vs our wr room for next year.

Since when do we not want ol depth at PSU? We seem to have finally fixed the OL, which has been flawed since the late 90s. I would like to keep it functional.
Who said we don't want depth? The question is prioritizing how we spend NIL.

He already is ahead of Ivey and Saunders in terms of work ethic and hands 😂

We should've used him and Reynolds more this year as receivers.

There will be a battle for that right tackle spot between Rucci and Donkoh given how well Rucci played when Donkoh went down.
Isn't there another OL - Chimdy Onoh - whom the staff was talking up?
Yep, Onoh has been mentioned. Rucci had by far the worst PFF rating last night among the OL, so Donkoh may still end up the 2025 RT starter.

You don’t solve the WR problem by trying to play TEs as WRs. You find WRs who actually can play the position.

Rucci also had the highest PFF rating a few games ago. I think they might kick Donkoh inside to guard.
I don't think so but who knows. It will be pretty crowded inside if Dawkins returns along with Cousins, Loane, Shanahan, Williams and some others. Should be an interesting Spring sorting out the OL, especially for those that are changing positions such as Williams and all the young guys.

In addition to WR's how about a couple of "DT's." Don't we loose 3 of them this year? Who do we have waiting in the chance to start? The staff has not mentioned any of them.

Well Ford hopefully heals up, perhaps Zane Durant and Coziah Izzard return. Xavier Gilliam (true Freshman) played this year @ DT. Definitely need portal DTs that can play in normal rotation.

Is Sheton (Freshman tackle) showing potential?

Oh STFU jerk off. This team just lost a freaking game with no catches by the wide receivers and damn right the entire fan base is pissed off.

Other than your lame ass I mean 😂

You are a broken record. You were calling for Hagan's to be fired the day he was hire.

Boyer and Sexton are the 2024 true freshmen OT's that redshirted. One depth chart I saw before yesterday's game had Boyer as 3rd team Right OT, so I'm assuming he is ahead of Sexton who was not listed. On the gopsusports roster Boyer is listed at 6'8" 280 and Sexton at 6'6" 290, but those weights might not be accurate and it was reported earlier that one of them had made particularly impressive progress adding weight in the S&C program. Can't remember which one.

And I was correct. Now please disappear. Nobody likes you. 😂

Not really. His recruits are only true freshman.

You also wanted to get rid of kls and then spent all year crying about the WRs.
