Although I understand the logic... i.e. Penn States loses essentially it's ENTIRE team, and it's head coach... and is left with NOTHING to build on after the dust settles... I think that the NEW TEAM that Coach Rhodes has put into place, will SURPRISE MANY in the conference !
The NEW LOOK Nittany Lions, with a NUMBER of key contributors from bonified NCAA tournament teams last year, and top scorers and contributors from a number of different D2 programs... ALL who are eager to take the next step UP and make a difference in the B1G conference... I think THIS team has many similarities with the 2022-23 team... and MAYBE even MORE talent at SOME positions. OF COURSE, that will need to be proven on the floor, BUT, THIS team looks very much like last years team under Coach Schrewsberry... BUT, With a coach at the helm who has ACTUALLY COACHED NCAA tournament teams before, KNOWS what it takes, and MAY have more talent, from top to bottom on the current PSU roster, than he has EVER had before. I think it will be a FUN season...
Prediction: Mid pack in the final B1G conference rankings.. but RISING at the end. MAY qualify for the NCAA tournament, but if not, will make the NIT... and lay the foundation for an even MORE successful 2023-24 season !
