Basketball Penn State vs Rutgers: How to watch, betting lines, injuries, starters, and more

After two close calls earlier, Dread now passes it directly to the other team. He can’t pass.

They are really coming at Pickett hard with the doubles...need to keep moving the ball and getting the open looks.

PSU falling apart because they are doubling Pickett and Lundy and Funk can’t shoot today. Wynter helped in the first half but disappeared since the beginning of the second half.

I'm sorry but this idea that dread is some excellent defensive player and it's OK to go 4 on 5 on offense as if he was like a Dennis Rodman is laughable…. he has 0 quickness is totally heavy and out of shape...and is a liability more than hes an asset...get him off the court

Free lane to the basket. Lundy plays defense with arm reach instead of his feet.

Meltdown on both offense & defense.

We have no clue how to put the ball in the basket. Whatever we do don't let Lundy shoot a 3 for crying out loud.

I turned the game on as Penn State was up 19 and Rutgers had a 3 point attempt in the air that hit. I knew the game was over right then and there. Penn State basketball is pathetic.

Seth Lundy 1/!5. At what point do you stop feeding him the ball? At what point to you sit Lundy and Funk down. Their performance allowed Rutgers to take Pickett out of the game by double and triple teaming. Lundy was not missing contested shots. They let him shoot to enable shutting Pickett down

I said last week that Dread and Lundy were terrible. When Pickett doesn't carry them - the rest can't do squat. Lundy 0-11 from 3 and 1-16 overall? How is this guy getting into NBA mock drafts?

Just when you started to get excited about PSU basketball they pull this. What an embarrassing loss. I'm glad we could be the ones to get Rutgers on track. We had to try really hard to blow that game like scoring 3 points in the last 8 minutes. Mind boggling collapse.

That toilet flush sound is the last hope of a Dance bid going into the sewer.

You certainly don’t sit Lundy…you hope your second best player will hit a hot streak…it just didn’t happen tonight.

Missed our last 14 shots, many of them very good looks...some of it is on the Rutgers defense, but much of it was our inability to make anything down the stretch. Rutgers went hard with doubles at Pickett, and the other guys couldn't knock them down (Wynter did early, but no one could down the stretch).

We did do a much better job in the 2nd half on the offensive boards...zero offensive rebounds at halftime, but 9 in the second half.

Would have liked us to go a bit more with Henn...bring Cliff out and make him guard him, and I think that Henn held his own at the defensive end on him.

On to a huge one at Northwestern on Wednesday.

Bit dramatic don’t you think. Win the next two and one in the tournament and they’re in. I’m not saying that’s going to happen, but this loss didn’t take them out of it.

it's pretty much over now. Win the next two and they are back on the bubble, I guess, but they are unlikely to win both. Short of beating Purdue in the tournament or something, it is over.

That's not even remotely accurate...again, if we win the next two, we might not even need to win one in Chicago (at least not on Thursday). We had to go 5-1 down the stretch to feel pretty good heading to the Big Ten Tourney, and we've gone 3-1 so far.

I'd put our odds of dancing at about 15-20% today...had we won this, it would have been more like 55%. Tough loss, but anyone saying that tonight ended it isn't paying attention. Really, the next two are the huge ones, since they are our two remaining Quad 1 opportunities.

seems like Lundy single-handedly shot us out of the game. chances of the tournament are over now
Seth was awful...Funk was really bad on offense and got abused on defense.

Kebba, Henn, Cleary and Cam all did pretty well...above expectations.

This one is on our leaders including Jalen.

Coulda been a Chambers or Ferry coached team out there in the last 10 minutes...especially with us in the bonus.

Live and die by the 3....tonight we didn't deserve it

it is accurate

we were on the bubble today but not quite in

just fell behind 6 or 7 more

chances of winning at NW are low

there was a game in 2000 or 2001 when Cirspin kept shooting from everywhere on the court (and missing), blowing a 20 pt lead over Indiana. luckily that team pulled off some magic to get themselves back in the tournament. not sure this team has enough chances left

But a win at NW puts us right back where we were with another game left. I doubt we win at NW but that would do more for us than a win tonight would have.

It was 2001, and Ohio State at home.

it maybe puts us back on the edge, but then when they look at our resume they see up and down, losing at home down the stretch. it's not like we are safely in under any scenario now, so a home loss hurts a lot

especially to a team that will also be on the bubble
