What is your pet peeve?

Mine is people bring late for appointments/meetings. What’s even worse is those who hold up the meeting waiting for the late comers to show up. It’s as if those of us who show up on time our time is not as valuable as the others.

Couldn't agree more Air Force. Wasting time on those who don't care about you or your time is frustrating. I've experienced it in business, family and friends. There seems to be at least one who is completely undisciplined, without a care in the world and there never appears to be a consequence for this behavior.

When the traffic light turns green and the car in front of you just sits there. Invariably, they are looking at their phone. I've gotten to the point where I give people 1/2 a second to start moving before I lay on the horn. I used to be more patient but, It happens so often that I just don't give a shit anymore.

Contractors that never respond when you want to get a job done.

In the half decade since I moved into my current house I've had multiple projects needing to be done and I typically like to get estimates from several contractors before making a choice. The problem is that I wind up having to call/email 8-10 of them to get maybe 2 to respond. I once had a company return my call a solid two months after I reached out to them and by that point the project was already completed by another guy.

People using the self checkout of a grocery store with a full, or almost full cart of groceries. They invariably take forever scanning each item and almost always can’t complete their checkout without assistance from a busy, overworked checkout attendant, or require an assistant manager to come and assist.

All the while others with a handful of groceries, almost all in hand baskets have to wait in agony.

I've done this twice recently. I got a new car that has auto headlights (new feature for me). I leave the switch in the auto position so I don't need to worry about it. BUT....when I took my car for inspection and then again for the first service the mechanic turns the headlights to the off position and I didn't realize it until someone came up behind me flashing their headlights at me. Oh well, hopefully I will remember this the next time I go to the garage.

Just general clueless behavior by people. I never know if it’s that they simply don’t care or if they really are that stupid.

Just 1 example from today- Was going through the airport on a moving sidewalk. Terminals D, E require a hard right once you step off. Terminals AB continue going straight. So as a bunch of us are approaching the end of the moving sidewalk we all see about 4-5 people in a group talking about 2-3 feet from where the sidewalk ends. They are in front of it blocking about half of the path.

To go straight to AB you have to step off and go left to get around them. To go to D and E you need to make a hard right the minute you step off.

So some guy in front steps off and starts the right turn but then decides to stop and think about it for no reason. Now people are piling off the moving sidewalk and literally have no where to go but left to get around these idiots but a lady in front apparently can’t see this and make a decision quickly so she slows down trailing her suitcase behind her. The moving walkway off course continues to unload people at the same steady rate.

People were scampering and almost trampling each other while these idiots just stand there oblivious. The entire huge room to talk and they pick 3 feet in front of the moving walkway.

When there are 2 Glass doors hell 2 doors that both open--the crowds all follow the open door and create a jam--I am always opening the closed door and saying "Your Welcome--keep being sheep" I don't give a $#!!
