Yes, with a loophole so big that tractor trailers can drive thru it sideways: wrestlers may compete without a mask if they fill out the exemption form -- and PIAA will not verify, instead is trusting schools to not game the system.
(Because the schools have never, ever gamed PIAA rules. Ever. Never heard of such a thing. Cough cough Beca/St joe's/McCort recruiting.)
Another twist is that masked wrestlers cannot object to their opponent being mask-free -- if they decline to face that opponent, it's a forfeit. And they can't remove their own mask without the exemption. (Which is yet another incentive to game the system.)
I heard Masked Labriola will go 172 for Beca, and Masked Cerniglia will go 160 for NDGP.
May as well use this thread for PIAA postseason...

District 4/9 AAA @ 113 and 120 total of 6 kids....3 at each weight.

8 teams, 8 guys per weight. Easy brackets, right? Wrong. Every single weight has at least 1 bye.
Again, there is not one completely filled bracket in the entire tournament.
Selinsgrove is the only school to compete at every weight.
Sad.
District 4 has 3 left - shik, selinsgrove and wiliamsport.

The reason it's 4/9 is because D4 only has 3 AAA schools.
If you want to split that up, it has to be 4/6 and 9/10. (Or it could be 2/4 -- but D9, D6, and NW Regionals in Altoona are closer to all of the D4 schools than D2 and NE Regionals in Allentown.)
But putting either D4 or D9 in with D6 would be disastrous -- just due to # schools, D4 and D9 would get very few athletes thru to NW Regionals that way.
That's true but also a virus-ism. Same kid last year was over .500. This year small sample size and no easy opponents. Not saying he'll even get thru regionals, just to be skeptical of that 1-5 (now 3-5) record.
