Just in case, might want to tear yourselves away from the Pens for a bit. Nick Kingham in his first ever start is perfect through six. 79 pitches. Of course, he's getting no support from the offense.

Two out single in the 7th ends perfect game. Ground out next batter. 4-0. What a debut.

It's nice to hear the bucs are doing well again after a great start, swoon, rebound. Maybe they can put together a nice season given the lack of "stars".

Pirates aren't any good. That's what people here were proclaiming 2 innings into the season anyway in an earlier thread.

I still don't think they finish over .500, so I'm hardly taking back anything I said early on.
That's at least a tougher call for me than it was in March. It's too early, but I do like the lineup balance. That said, Polanco remains a concern, and Cervelli and Moran may be playing over their heads. I like the looks of Moran's swing, though. Starting pitching is thin in my opinion, and could kill them. Thoughts?

Diaz singles with bases loaded. 2-0, Bucs.

Was that Nova who shoved Diaz in the dugout after Diaz was getting congratulated? That was really strange. Especially in that situation. Looks like those two guys ( if it was Nova - he had a jacket on so I couldn't see the number and just caught a quick glance at his face) really hate each other. What's up with that????

Moran will be a high caliber every day 3B in the big leagues. So he will probably on be a Pirate for 3 more years before traded

Things to like are Kingham and the future of AA pitcher Keller. I also expect to have Kang's bat back in the lineup later this summer. I think that when he's ready that they'll trade Harrison and move Kang to 2b. I still don't like a lot of the bullpen. I haven't seen enough of Moran and Dickerson to know if they will be above avg players.

Agree on all your points. I just don't trust the pitching to hold up. We've seen enough Cervelli to know he won't stay healthy or maintain this pace. With Moran maybe he can be this good.

Dickerson has a long enough track to know he's a decent player. I don't expect to see Kang back again. He was a disaster in the Dominican league (I believe it was DL) last fall and got sent packing. 2 years away and being 31 now isn't helpful.
