He had 3 stars at the start of the day. Stripped of all stars after committing to Pitt.
It’s quite obvious that the Duzz has recruited the next Larry Allen or Bruce Mathews. How in the World did everyone else miss him
Its pretty obvious that since he has that long extension, he's trying to get fired.
He's a high zero star. He's got a -.3 rating. By end of summer, he'll be 1 star.
Their "savior" Nardog is wrecking what little exists of the Pitt program. Their recruiting is worse than pathetic. I remember when the Pitt Yinzers used to say Franklin is a snake oil salesman who can't recruit and can't coach.

If you still have access, check out the comments about this recruit on The Lair. They're already talking about when they can fire Narduzzi. We need him to win just enough to stay their coach.
Per the Pgh Trib Review rag....He is the only one of 16 Pitt commits that does not have a star ranking on Rivals.com.

The pitt Rivals site shows that they have the 38th-ranked class for 2019. With a bunch of 3-stars, a few 2-stars, and the no-star, I'm surprised they are that high.

It's just volume of commits right now. If you average the total points of the other seven P5 teams that have 16 verbals, it's enough to edge out PSU for #15. So, having 16 verbals and being #38 is not a good look.
If you assume Pitt takes 25, meaning their 5 lowest won't count in the rankings, and multiply the average value of the remaining 11 current commits they'd come in around 1500 points - good for #45 in the 2018 cycle once everyone's classes are complete. Let's say they pull in a few solid kids in December, those who wait too long or don't have committable offers as more desirable programs fill up, and Pitt could finish around #40 for 2019 recruiting. That's the optimistic view from where they stand today. So the optimistic view is 40-45. A little worse than they've been, and a trend.
If they continue as they are, or worse yet (for them) see some of their better recruits poached by the likes of Boston College and Syracuse, they could finish anywhere from 50-60.

I’m sorry I picked on the kid. ( Never going to stop mocking PITT though ). He’s just working as hard as he can to receive a scholarship. A couple of other smaller schools also thought highly of him so there’s that. The best thing that could happen to him is that in 2 or 3 years Duzz and his clown show of coaches will be gone. Then perhaps a real coach may help him develop his ability if he has any. But then again this is PITT, so God knows which loser they hire next.
Why do we keep seeing these threads? It's bush league. Do Alabama fans incessantly talk about how bad Alabama State is? Do Ohio State fans waste their breath woofing about how Kent State can't recruit?
PSU is a top 10 program once again. At some point the fans here will start to act like fans of a top 10 team.

This also puts into perspective just how bad Pitt recruiting has become...if you look back at last year’s class & their current class, they’ve had a whopping 1 4 star kid out of 36 kids! That’s really hard to do for a power 5 school. If you go back 1 more year, they’re at 4 4 star out of 60 kids. And 1 of those 4, Charles Reeves, was booted off team. Fair to say the Duzz’s star has faded fast in the eyes of many Piit fans, as it should.

You realize that Bear Bryant's kid was almost successful at killing the UAB program. There has never been a comment made about Pitt recruiting than comes anywhere near as bad as that.
And UAB football is about the equivalent to Pitt football.
I doubt if the Pitt coaches are as pessimistic about the season as you say. They are simply recruiting the best players that they think they have a realistic chance of landing. With the exception of VT and Miami, their recruiting is competitive with the rest of the ACC Coastal.
The Duzz strikes again. He’s a recruiting machine. Just reeled in a WR from Florida, somehow beating out Old Dominion, Bowling Green & South Florida, in the process.

He is a Canadian QB who has never played WR and is moving to FL. Are they that desperate for recruits? If he gets an offer from one of the ABC Universities in FL, he's as good as gone.

It's actually the opposite. There are a lot more unknown basketball recruits because basketball recruiting isn't nearly as covered as football
