Pitt continuing on their recruiting run...

Chris Dokish‏@ChrisDokish
Anyone that criticizes a recruit before he plays a down, because of some arbitrary rating system, is uniformed and clueless, and quite frankly, not really a fan. They’re miserable people being miserable. Period.

Words of wisdom from 'ole Chris Dorkish. According to him, ratings systems are "arbitrary" whenever they don't rate a Pitt commit high yet in the rare instance that Pitt lands a legit 4-star recruit, Dorkish immediately anoints the guy a future multi-year All American. In his eyes, despite not playing a down of college football, Paris Ford is the next Ronnie Lott.

Miserable, uninformed & clueless? Are these terms used in the self biography of Chris Dokish & Chris Peak?

There are always plenty of guys that end up under recruited for a variety of reasons. They play for a small school, don't get to camps, etc. And it's fine to pick up some guys that are under the radar. I don't want to pick on any one particular kid. They all have some potential. We've had walk-ons turn into super stars (Butler, McGloin, Nassib).

But when a high percentage of your class is made up of this type of kid, it spells bad news. It says you aren't making an impact with the kids from larger schools who are getting to camps and who are getting rated by the services. It also means you're putting all of your chips on the table over and over expecting to win a high percentage of very long odds bets. It's not a very good way to run a P5 program.
