Pitt tickets for tonight are $6 on Stubhub. Of course, to sit right behind the benches will take you way up to $25. So really, that's a bargain.

On the other hand, SC hotel prices for the weekend of the Pitt game next September are incredibly ridiculous. The few rooms available right now are around $800/night, nonrefundable. That is no bargain.

$6 is the minimum price for tickets on stubhub. They've reached rock bottom.

It is drizzling in Pittsburgh right now. That will be a great excuse to skip the game. Attendance will likely be abysmal. Also, they are likely to get spanked by Vo Tech. This will start their annual late season swoon. Next they will get taken to the woodshed by Miami and Clemson. They will then have a 5 - 5 record going into Duke and Syracuse. Good chance the pitters will sit home during bowl season and watch their recruiting class swirl down the toilet.

I'm equally shocked by the SC hotel prices for the Pitt game in September. Talk about gouging. $800/night nonrefundable? Maybe they hope that Pitt fans are really stupid, because I can't imagine anybody I know paying that.

What pitt fans? There aren't any. Penn State fans will be paying the outlandish prices.

The students will all be at the museums or the opera.

you remind me of the old days at Carnegie Mellon. They were trying to drum up ways to get the students to engage with the CMU football team so they decided to give away a floppy disk away as people walked into the stadium (attendance was free). Worked great as they had about lots of students attend. Problem was that nobody was there at the end of the first quarter; they walked in, got their floppy and walked home.

Fortunately we sold our 8 tickets for face value to a friend who went to VT!

So I didn't feel bad, I actually told him he could get the tickets much cheaper online, but he was cool with helping me out.

I can attest to that having purchased season tix for this season. I've had three games plus parking on the secondary marking for weeks. No bites. Even my neighbors aren't interested in free tickets.

What makes you randomly check how much Pitt football tickets are going for on stubhub?

Uh, because I'm trying to get rid of mine? Remember that many of us bought Pitt season tickets this year? Perhaps your memory doesn't go back that far.

Ah, the child rape issue surfaces. So that's it? It's not my "obsession" with Pitt?

Why didn't you just say so?

You just made a bad purchase decision. Tickets were available for less than a Pitt season ticket package

Nah, they weren't. I live here, and I saved a heap of dough by getting the season tickets. You are clueless on this subject.

This is why many (it's almost getting to the point of calling it most) people in State College are renting out their houses for $1600 a weekend. You can fit 10 people, have a space 10 times as big, with a yard, etc. I'm not sure why anybody would get a hotel. It's kind of like people getting taxis instead of ubers. You can pay a lot more if you want, or you can just catch up with the times.

I was able to sell Villanova & Marshall tix at face value via secondary market. The GA Tech tix went $10 below face and I've had the VPI, Duke & Syracuse tix online for weeks at a 50% discount. No sales on those. Friends and I decided that since the rain stopped, we're going tonight to the VPI game, and I ended up donating the Duke, Cuse tix to Tix for Kids and cut my losses.

Anybody want Pitt parking passes for the last two games? ;)

Probably can just pull your car into Heinz and park it along the sidelines. There will be plenty of room.
