Yes, strangely silent about college football this week. Wonder why. Some of you posted they said the were hoping Iowa would beat us. Thank you!
At least James Franklin isn't blind.Ron Cook said Franklin's still an A$$hole!
They're mad about Paul Johnson stealing Dooz' "high road" line.
So they are mad about him saying 'high road' but not mad at him calling them a bad team?
I was so sure the pittsburgh media and that nutjob Francesa would be ranting and attacking the Georgia Tech coach for flat out saying pitt was a bad team.
You mean they are ok with that so long as it's not James Franklin saying it?![]()
Pittsburgh is a professional sports town, its all Steelers and Pens...

...and the museums...and the Opera...
I did hear a few call-ins from pitt fans expressing hope that Lamont Wade will transfer to pitt since they will be more tolerant of diverse opinions.
They need to open a museum of Pitt mediocrity, cataloging the last 35 years of Pitt football. Then their fans will be really torn about what to do on Saturdays. Chances are there isn't a large enough space to house it.
As someone who lives in Pittsburgh, it's much more of a racist area than State College.... hands down. It's truly amazing how what Pitt fans say is always 180° from the truth.
I grew up in Allegheny County and have this conversation with people all the time. It's mind blowing they actually believe this. I'm always told how diverse Pitt's student population is which is completely false. It's actually even less diverse than PSU.
It shouldn't be difficult to grasp that all PSU students, facility, and alum aren't from and don't reside in Center County. Most come from metro areas, spend their 4 years, then return to other metro areas. The majority of Pitt grads I know (quite a few) grew up in Western PA, went to college in Western PA, and now work/reside in Western PA.
But, but, but....there's one random picture of one confederate flag that flew in the intramural fields that one time.
It's truly amazing how Pitt grads come from the area and stay in the area. People don't grow up across the country dreaming of going to Pitt, it's a local safety school for the weak and timid.

Sorry. To be clear, I don't think there's anything wrong in the slightest with staying in the same place. I'm just pointing out the rampant hypocrisy.

They are talking about this on the Lair too. This is insane. They act like there Pittsburgh is a bastion of diversity and enlightened thinking (I'm from Pittsburgh; it is not)I did hear a few call-ins from pitt fans expressing hope that Lamont Wade will transfer to pitt since they will be more tolerant of diverse opinions.

Ever wonder why Pitt fans don't like James Franklin, an extremely classy and likable guy that pretty much everyone else likes? It's because he's different than them, and I'm not talking about him being a winner.
What are we up to now? 73 or so?? [Not completely joking--heard from folks who work at a local college that they are working on trying to identify all of the possible gender pronouns so that no student feels left out--and there were a large number of possible options.]I replied to the thread. Not really getting answers.
Though, one reply to me did mention that Pitt's student body includes all genders. Who knew?

Huh? How did that ever become a topic? Pitt fans are really hurting for some fantasy to grasp on to. Maybe next week they can talk about how Justin Fuente is unhappy at VA Tech and wants the Pitt job.I did hear a few call-ins from pitt fans expressing hope that Lamont Wade will transfer to pitt since they will be more tolerant of diverse opinions.

Yea, Narduzzi will end up in Alabama -- maybe Western Alabama Tech as assistant defensive backs coach.Maybe mini-Ditka will go back and be the head coach at Pitt when Narduzzi takes over for Saban at 'Bama.
I think it's hilarious that now all of a sudden they want him. One week ago he was too short and a complete a$$hole.
How is Paul doing? His ex-wife was such a sweet girl, and can't believe she put up with his shit for so long. There's one guy who is happy in the Pittsburgh media with the way things are going right now, Paul Alexander.
