PLAAAAAAAAAAY BALL! Let's go Phillies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cole Hamels is in a generous mood today. It's nice of him to give souvenirs to fans in the outfield bleachers.

Re: Down early to the Sawx. 2-0 in the third.

Let's go BoSox....4-0 after 41/2....4 dingers...Pedroia with 2 of them...

I don't think anything can be called America's pastime nowadays. Decades ago people of all ages would get together for a ballgame the have fun and socialize. It starts in childhood and today's kids are too busy playing video games and checking out what's up on Facebook or whatever site they use. Now that I mention it, I think America's current pastime is the internet. No need to even leave the house.

Rain delay in Miami (with a retractable roof) - great start to the season *

Methinks they should have traded Hamels during the off season. A few more outings like this and his value will nosedive, and they will get very little for him.

Being a BoSox guy, and being that is where everyone thought Hamels was going, I am glad the deal wasn't made. But it's early. However, no way I am giving up Betts or Swihart....

It is true, nothing like a Baseball game to "pass time". OR there is always "golf" !!! OR "grass growing" :)

no it won't.

Scouts and GMs are smarts than that. Unless they see something physically wrong he will be fine. A few bad outings in April will not impact his value in July. Hamels is typically a slow starter.

That was pretty bad. Looked like an awesome day for the people in attendance but it might have been more fun in Ashburn Alley.

I am usually optimistic about the Phillies but I don't think they are going to score a run this year.

Seriously though, is there anyway they don't lose 100 games? Hasn't happened in a very long time but this might be the year. Still will watch but blahhhhhhhhhh.

Who was the Phillie reliever that threw 2 97mph fastballs past Ramirez..he had no chance on either on of them, then says, "let's see if you can hit an 80 mph slider right in the middle of the plate." Duh....

Phils can easily lose 100 games. Just comes down a to a few things.

1. When is Hamels (and Papelbon) traded.
2. Do they get an injury or two.
3. Assuming nobody has some out of nowhere career year.

If Hamels and Papelbon are gone before the all star break and nobody has a career year and the Phils get the normal injury or two that puts a starter on the DL for some time, I do not see how they will not lose 100 games.
