I can count more good moves from cael than bad. This seems like a good move if he was cleared drs, family and the staff.

I think the 1st pd was more representative of who Brady is than the 3rd.

His TD was really impressive in the 1st.

EJ. The Medical hardship was never actually on the table. His redshirt year was a choice not an injury. It takes two lost injury years usually.

If the NCAA would let you ask about their recent wavering on that rule and see if he could get one, then maybe it is on the table. But they don’t so it effectively has never been an option.

but.....Ashnault gives some hope, huh?

Berge is good enough to get in the top 6 at B10s
I know the rule, but at some point the NCAA has granted enough exceptions that the exceptions become the rule. And asking NCAA forgiveness instead of permission makes it a risk, not an absolute.

PS, are you absolutely certain (wink wink) that Berge's redshirt was voluntary? He competed only at the Princeton Open in early November -- not even once while Jason's leg injury put us all on Code Red. Not even in non-NCAA events (no freestyle, etc.). For him to not compete once in 4+ months ... many coaches would be able to provide a reason for that if asked. (Didn't Pitt find reasons the day Phillippi's transferred?)

That said, IDK if it was ever being considered (aside from board theorizing). And it's moot -- he's back and good for him. Hopefully he has enough time to get his conditioning back.

Forgiveness strategy in a varying policy could work. Hey....Anthony Ashnault seemed to wrestler forever so....
