I could see this team winning every game except Michigan. Unfortunately, I could see them losing every game except Rutgers. If it comes down to coaching this board has spoken.

This team could easily be 3-4 right now, considering they got lucky against App. State and Indiana. After the next 3 games, they could be 5-5 or 6-4.

If we don't won all three by 30, this board will be enraged.

Luckily the real fans will be happy.

1 win is minimally acceptable and understandable considering this inexperienced defense, 2 wins means we are moving in a positive direction, 3 wins punches a ticket into the top 8 and a great bowl game.

I think this poll sums up this board. 20% of you are ridiculously optimistic despite the evidence and 12% are chicken little types

Hmm. I'll see your call and raise ya. This team could easily be unbeaten right now considering how the offense doesn't want to stay on the field. 1 or 2 more first downs in each loss and we are...

Just sayin'

They could easily be 7-0 were it not for some bad luck against Mich St and OSU. It always comes down to one or two plays. The pendulum swings both ways.

We will win the rest of our games except for Michigan at the Big House. Next year, we will be go on another championship run.

Sanders slipping while going for a sure TD vs MSU which winds up in a FG, Hamler getting knocked out of Ohio State game. So yes some bad luck in addition to not finishing games. The margin between 5-2 & 7-0 is very slim.
Agreed, though shouldn't forget the App State game. That definitely could have gone the other way.

Never underestimate the power of the Referines....
That one could be epic from an officiating standpoint. If we beat UM and they beat OSU the Big won’t have a representative in the CFP again and they don’t want that.

Former NFL OC and offensive coach said 4 plays ahead of Iowa vs. Wisconsin.

I would say 4 before 2.

Why is it only "we get lucky when we win" but when we drop a sure game ending/winning INT. its not considered or maybe the ill timed fumble in the first half against OSU? Why aren't those considered "lucky" for MSU and OSU?
See with a little "luck" we could be 7-0.

Bad luck?

Yes the dropped INT at the end of the game is bad luck.
Yes Miles slipping going in for the TD against MSU is bad luck.
Miles fumbling against OSU right before the half is bad luck.
Our best and most consistent WR getting knocked out for the last 10 minutes or so of OSU is bad luck.

Luck goes both ways. With a little less luck app states running back steps out and they kick a chip shot fg as time expires.

There are also situations where it’s better to be lucky than good. A close game is sometimes one of them. I think plenty here have said MSU was lucky and got a lot of breaks. Recovering all of their fumbles, several dropped interceptions, a few really strange calls that weren’t backe up on video that extended scoring drives, catching the ball with their knees on the game winning drive. The only break psu got that game was the missed miles sanders fumble.

That said there are some games luck shouldn't play a factor. No amount of luck, short of half the team getting the flu the night before should allow Rutgers to make it a game and I don't think bad luck is really an excuse for losing to MSU, they're not a good team this season, and I still think we were/are/can be.

Hopefully everyone gets their shit together. If PSU wins out-UM loses to Indiana-OSU loses to MSU and UM-MSU drops a game somewhere- we win the division. That'd be lucky.
