Dogs. Without the canine, Neanderthal man would have ruled . He was actually smarter and bigger.

You better up your reading, or at least watch Animal Planet.
OK, will start with the Puppy Bowl in two weeks. That will be a great start. Perhaps I'll change my vote to canine after seeing those cute puppies.

Thanks for the clarification Testa.

In that case I would say equine. This animal helped in terms of labor, combat and transportation. All critical to human survival.
How can it not be equine. The only form of rapid transportation for at least 2000 years plus they provided food

As much as I love dogs, it seems civilization developed faster in areas where there were horses.

question for you: if we descended from apes, why did we lose our hair and develop worse eye sight? If the theory of evolution is correct, why would people lose hair causing them to need to wear cloths to stay warm? how did we evolve to needing less eyesight quality?

An even better question is why NAKED APES are mentally Ill?

And, yet, an even better question than above is HOW PRAY TELL did you graduate Penn State WITHOUT any critical thinking skills?

For the past 5-10,000 years, how long have horses been present on the continents of North America, South America, Africa or Australia? If I'm not mistaken, horses were not ridden in Europe until the mongol invasion introduced the stirrup to Europe. While horses have played a significant role, it's primarily been in the past 500-1000 years.

There were horses in North America when the first humans arrived. They became extinct along with a large number of other megafauna shortly after. The cause of this megafauna mass extinction remains a mystery.

There also wasn’t a whole helluva lot going on here until then. And don’t get me started about Australia.
