Coming back. I called that one on my original list.
I guess he didn’t get the day one draft status that some posters claimed was a definite. Never saw that as likely and I think another year will benefit himComing back. I called that one on my original list.
huge...i was a little afraid with his size, speed and family pedigree that he would leave early (like a B. Smith)...guy can be an All-American and 1st rd talent if he just gets a little better with the small details (hand grabbing obviously)Coming back. I called that one on my original list.
Hand grabbing will definitely have him ready for the NFL, from the NFL games that I've observed lately.huge...i was a little afraid with his size, speed and family pedigree that he would leave early (like a B. Good move for Joey and the team, clean up the PI's, based on size and NFL needs for CB's good chance to go in first round next year. Now wait for all the haters to come out, it's Christmas, say something nice about the kid. I graduated during the Rip Engle years, have been a fan since before Paterno, I'm happy Porter is returning. Now, Merry Christmas to all.Coming back. I called that one on my original list.
Get off his back. Yes,he has made some mistakes, but I hink he made a mature decision here and will take a big leap forward in 2022.The penalty machine is back!!!!
Awesome news! He is a great, aggressive corner that just needs to iron out a few things. I predict those ticky tack things will get cleaned up.Coming back. I called that one on my original list.

Indeed. Good for him and the team.Awesome news! He is a great, aggressive corner that just needs to iron out a few things. I predict those tricky tack things will get cleaned up.
Much rather a CB that’s too aggressive than one that’s not aggressive enough.
Welcome back Joey!!!
LOL, you got me on that one.Hope he’s not offside with that big leap forward!

I have to agree. This last season, he was a walking PI machine. He has the physical tools, and I hope he can learn more about how to look back and play the ball. It is not an easy position to play. Best of luck to him.The penalty machine is back!!!!

GREAT to have him back. He could be a first round CB next year. A lot of those ticky tack penalties don't get called in the NFL. Or if you're on Ohio State, for that matter. He and young King will make a fearsome duo next year.Get off his back. Yes,he has made some mistakes, but I hink he made a mature decision here and will take a big leap forward in 2022.
This is kinda like Rashir Bolton from a hoops perspective in that we took the growing pains of early playing time. Each player was clearly talented, but youngish guys have to learn to play at this level and each made big plays but also arguably cost us games.Get off his back. Throw in Hardy who is a great nickel back. Brown returns at S. Have big shoes to fill in losing Brisker. But, that’s a damn good secondary.GREAT to have him back. The difference is that PSU Football will reap the benefit of Joey Jr's maturation, while Bolton was a key figure in basketball turning a page while the once skinny, out of control point guard is now a starter on a Top 5 team which will contend for an NCAA championship.
Glad Jr is back. It is in his and our best interests.
There definitely appears to be something up with him. Many PSU players who supported Pat alluded to something but were never too direct. I'm not clear on the circumstances regarding his departure/release from Iowa State. It is even more interesting that Boltons departure from Ames coincided with Brockingtons arrival. It seems impossible that the two didn't communicate at all before Brock decommitted/recommitted/ and decommitted again to ISU.Your post made me look up Rashir Bolton's current status, as I was not aware. I see that he is now on his 3rd college team in 4 years and has never had to sit out a year (for transferring). WTF's up with that?
We are very fortunate to get Porter back! Parts of the 22 team will be very good. We’re just missing a few pieces on the OL, one LB, and one DE. Otherwise we have a strange mix of very tenured players like Clifford and a hell of an incoming freshman class. We may be better next year than we think. Maybe we can portal in a few key pieces.Throw in Hardy who is a great nickel back. Brown returns at S. Have big shoes to fill in losing Brisker. But, that’s a damn good secondary.
Amazed how negative we have become towards our own players.
Isheem Young would probably make it one of the best secondaries in the nation.Throw in Hardy who is a great nickel back. Brown returns at S. Have big shoes to fill in losing Brisker. But, that’s a damn good secondary.
