Bought tickets for Purdue in sec 104 row 4. Four rows behind OSU bench. What I witnessed last night stunned me. No real leaders on the sideline. No passion from players or coaches. Methodical coaches with looks of no answers on their faces as their groups came off the field after a failed drive or touchdown given up. Not a single sense of urgency out of anyone. That needs to get fixed and fixed quickly.

Here’s the part you all should know:

Midway through 3rd qtr, during the game, Urban walked away from the action down to about the 25 yard line and motioned with two fingers to a guy with a red hat standing next to the playing field. Then he walked back up towards the 50 yard line. The guy in the red hat reached into his pocket, took out a pill bottle and took a couple of pills up to Urban about 30 sec. later and Urban grabbed a Gatorade, swallowed the pills and grimaced like he was in pain. I believe when Urban says he’s fine in press conferences, he is not. I hope that we are not seeing the end of the Urban Meyer era. We won’t see the likes of it again in our lifetimes.

Here is the part I hope all of you can take to heart as we discuss the shortfalls of this year’s team now and for future games on forums like the-ozone that give us all a place to visit where we all have a common interest:

Many of the Buckeye fans in the section I sat in acted like disgusting, spoiled morons. Before the game even started, they yelled every vulgar obscenity you might ever imagine at the Purdue band, their mascot, their girls on the field in the performances and their fans ( who, by in large, were polite and decent people. ) When things didn’t go right for the team last night (which started early) our fans in section 104 turned into a mob mentality and verbally berated and abused our players with the most foul mouthed, disgusting, screaming antics you have ever heard. Many were just drunken assholes and their equally classless girlfriends and wives, but the players and coaches could hear everything they said and I can’t tell you how many times a coached stared down these idiots or a player turned around to look into the stands to see who was calling them pieces of shitt and every other degrading comment you can think of. The players are great athletes and most of them have the bodies of full grown men, but their faces are those of 20 year olds (other maybe than Paris Campbell) and you don’t realize how young they really are til you see them come off the field and remove their helmets. My section had kids from maybe 6 to 12 years old in it with their parents and they shouldn’t have to been exposed to that. It was goddamn embarrassing and if I were a recruit on the sidelines, I would have to wonder why OSU fans were relentlessly attacking their players. It literally went on incessantly for four hours and ruined what was already not going to be a pleasant game experience for me and any other decent human being sitting in that section. I cannot over state how obscene these classless Buckeye fans acted. When they were told to shut up or sit down by other fans, they threatened to come and fight you. Indiana police came to the area on the field on several occasions but did nothing as these jerks toned down their vulgarity when a police officer was standing between the stands and our bench. There were about 10 of them spread out over 8 rows who were the worst.
So, when all of us football geniuses break down the game during and after, maybe we can try not to personalize our criticisms so much and remember that OSU football players and coaches have given us a lot more to be happy about over the years than they have ever given us to bitch about.

As for the many jackasses I witnessed in section 104, rows 1 to about 8 last night, you don’t deserve the success this team and these coaches have given us. Do us all a favor and stay away.

I think this headache thing with Meyer is something more serious then he puts on like its a stress induced type headaches that will only go away if he reduces his lifestyle.

Ok. Living in Ohio, this guy was just describing the typical osu fan. When I was transferred here many years ago, my wife and I were standing out of the snow next to St. John’s arena prior to going into the stadium in 1993. We were just talking and as a guy went by he spit on my wife hitting her jacket. Luckily for him I lost him in the crowd. It was 10 years until she went back there.

While we have our share of idiots too. Osu has a far larger percentage than anyone in the conference. They really are a classless bunch

In all fairness, this guy could be a troll Michigan fan. There was a post earlier about our players responding to negative Tweets. I hope CJF and company are letting our players know this.
