I listen to Sirius satellite radio almost 100% of the time. From August football camp through the end of spring football, I'm listening to channel 84 college sports radio. Most of the shows are geared towards football and basketball, but they do have some occasional, once a week shows for college lacrosse, hockey, and baseball. I don't see these three as huge revenue/fan interest sports on the college level. Do you think there would be as much interest in a once a week college wrestling show (talk show or maybe even broadcasting some matches) as there is for lacrosse, hockey, and baseball?

Listen to the same channel and have had the same thought. Don't think it is likely though.

This is actually what gave me the idea to start my model for the Mat Talk Podcast Network -- there's coaches shows for football everywhere on that station. Wrestling had it for maybe 3-4 teams nationwide. On the College Sports Channel, it was team after team after team. I'm currently handling three different colleges with the coaches show format. One thing about the podcast format has over Sirus XM is podcasts are free and podcast can be consumed at any time.

Discovery on SiriusXM would be a benefit, but at what cost to the producer? We've got over 40 different shows now covering wrestling in some way, shape or form via podcast. SirusXM can be somewhat of a walled garden.

I don't do podcasts... I like to have something interesting when I'm driving.

There are numerous and several easy ways to listen to podcasts while driving - millions of people do it every day.

Or are you unfamiliar with the medium overall? There are at least 40 shows out there specifically about wrestling -- including the 16 active ones on my network (which includes a Penn State fan podcast) and there's the Flo show, and a host of others.

If you don't "do" podcasts, you're missing out on a TON of free and diverse on-demand content

No offense, and I wish you great success with your endeavor, but I just want to get into my truck and listen to the radio.

My endeavor is irrelevant when it comes to listening habits. I was a SiriusXM subscriber for nearly a decade -- listening to podcasts in my truck involves a cheap cable and my smart phone. Press play. Listen to what I want to listen to, when I want to listen to it.

My drive is over, I pause and come back later.

The point is the type content you wish to hear on SiriusXM is out there via podcast. There's a great amount of content out there for you to enjoy -- and you can do it in your truck, too. For free.

Worth checking into. Siriusly.

Radio, podcasts, they're both just talk coming out your speakers, except you can pause podcasts and there are a million fewer ads. There's good radio and bad radio, good podcasts and bad podcasts. Lots of podcasts are just transplanted radio shows anyway. I don't drive much living in the city but when I do it's typically a long drive, and doing it without podcasts is unthinkable. And yeah, lots of great wrestling content out there, Jason Bryant deserves a ton of thanks and subscribers for the work he's done in this area, not only on his own (Short Time) but helping others develop theirs.
