The "15 practices" limitation is a misconception. NCAA rules effectively extend the end of a football team's season to participation in a) a conference championship; and/or b) post season (bowl) games, whichever occurs later(st). Thus, teams participating in post-regular season games can continue practicing as usual, subject to in-season n NCAA regulations.
