Predictions for # of Champs and AAs

Yep, 165 is just brutal. Looks like Yant and Barcsak are the only 2 in the tourney that won't have eligibilty left next year? That's crazy. Facundo has a tough road ahead the next couple of years.
If Haines moves up, he may not even make the starting lineup for his own team.

I watched the BB game today and coincidentally I started drinking about 4:30 so I may not have my faculties in tack, but I'm going:

6 Champs
9 AA's

I like our guys. Dean has me scared a bit and Facundo could use a head butt, but I'm confident.
hopefully Dean will win all those close matches just like last yr!!

Agreed, especially since Carter says he plans on wrestling 74kg at Olympic trials. I could’ve seen it working with both AB and Carter going up a weight class but don’t think that’s the case now.

Personally, I like SVN's path. SVN has only lost to top-6 wrestlers; Johnson and Henson have lost to lesser wrestlers. He'll need a better strategy against Johnson, but PJ and Henson are beatable.

Once he gets to the semis, the world is his oyster. He's unlikely to get past Yanni, but 3rd-6th are directly ahead.

Hopefully not ;) I’d prefer he win all those close matches without so much as a sniff of a reason to throw a brick. Some fans were insufferable in Detroit last year that he got two gifts on his way to the NC.

That's how I have it drawn up. Let's go svn

I'm going 3 Golds (3 for 4 in finals ) 6 AA
I think the depth in many weight classes will be problematic for some guys.
I think this year tournament is deeper in depth with the exception being 125 and Heavyweight than most years. I don't think 1 thru 4 is any different than most years but 5-10 is stronger than normal.

Ill have what your having

I'm thinking 5 champs, 6 finalists, 8 AAs. I think 165 may be just too deep and difficult for Facundo this year. We'll see. It may come down to him vs Caliendo or Kharchla in the blood round. That's tough.
This is also my prediction.

I like a lot of your picks, but Matthew's isn't winning 141. He spends way too much time doing nothing to win 5 championship matches in succession.

If Pitt ever won 2 legit national titles in anything, the Time-Space Continuum would splinter into 1,000,000,000 pieces.
